We must never forget October 7th.
Three years have passed since the most horrific attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The passage of time cannot lessen the horror of that day nor the pain carried by those who survived it and those who lost loved ones.
We must also recommit to fighting the rising scourge of antisemitism in all its forms, wherever and whenever we see it. We pray for a just and lasting peace.

I stand with @QnsBPRichards in calling for the City to acquire and preserve the Elmhurst African Burial Ground as a permanent memorial green space honoring those laid to rest there and Black history in Queens.

Twenty-five years later, we will #NeverForget the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the survivors, and the first responders who rushed toward danger to save others.
Millions of Americans born after 9/11 are too young to remember that day. It is our responsibility to make sure that future generations understand what happened and carry forward the stories of courage, sacrifice, resilience and unity that followed.
May we always honor those we lost and continue to care for everyone still living with the effects of that terrible day. 🇺🇸

In one of her many memorable hit songs, Dolly Parton famously sang about a “9 to 5” job that was “all taking and no giving.” So, in looking back on her amazing legacy, it's fitting to remember her for all her giving to others throughout her life: all the joy she gave us all with her incredibly beautiful songwriting, her captivating voice, and her endless creative pursuits. The 300 million free books she gave to children across America and around the world through her Imagination Library. All the fun she gave to families who visited Dollywood. The crucial funding and support she gave for medical research into pediatric cancer, infectious diseases, and not least, the Moderna COVID vaccine. She gave funding to provide shelter and food for the victims of disasters. I’m especially grateful for all that she gave back to our beloved home state of Tennessee. For many, her lasting gift is the inspiration to give back to our own communities with the same passion, humor, and conviction as Dolly. God bless her and may she rest in peace. We will always love her!

I had such a great time at @kimkeiserman's table at the Longest Table event in Port Washington! Organized by Susan Berman of the Sid Jacobson JCC, with funding from @UJAfedNY, the concept is meaningful: Everyone has a place at the table!
It was a wonderful evening that demonstrates why Port Washington is such a special community, filled with so many inspiring leaders.
