It’s #cattober!
This year I’m trying something different. The children’s book Catwings is incredibly near and dear to my heart, and I’ve always wanted to take a crack at making it a graphic novel. I doubt I can do the entire book but I want to illustrate a few pages for fun.

This is very important to remember. I felt like such a loser for not making more things until I saw the amount of unproduced dream projects he had. This fuels me to this day!
Guillermo del Toro says he’s written 42 screenplays but only 13 of those have been made into movies.
“It’s not like I say, ‘Oh, no, I’ll do that one now.’ It’s which project can I get produced”

Sorry but if we don't shop at our local used and independent bookshops, we will lose them. Declining literacy threatens the very existence of bookselling as a business. A world where people can't buy books in person would be a very bleak place.

Saw someone say, “Stop hoarding books, we don’t need paper books anyway” and I can’t express how misguided this is. Online libraries disappear, digital books can be altered, and with Big Tech seeking to destroy history and literacy, print media has never been more essential.

Used all my life savings to survive 2yrs while I animate 14-18hrs/day, 7days/wk, for the duration of production.
Also, made sure the contracts for everyone had a no ai clause so nobody can put this into gen data sets. Watch this solo animated film here:

Artists, please dont give up on drawing. Whatever goals you desire, you have a lot more potential than you think. You just have to put the hours into your artwork. I promise everything will turn out fantastic. The only real thing stopping you from perfecting your craft is, you.
These sketches are based off a faithful lil warbler that came down every morning when I did my mealworm rounds. He has since migrated, as most warblers do once spring came around.
