We need to talk about this.
I’m asking the community to speak up and tag @FNCreate so this doesn’t go unnoticed.
The removal of the “Follow Creator” button from the Creator Profile Device is a big step in the wrong direction.
I’ll be honest, this doesn’t really affect me personally since I already have a strong following.
But that’s exactly why I feel responsible to say something.
This change hurts smaller creators the most.
No matter how good a map is, if players can’t easily follow you in the exact moment they’re enjoying your work, conversion drops massively. That moment matters.
I also understand the concern:
some creators have been forcing the “Favorite Creator” using aggressive placement and positioning of the device.
But that’s a moderation issue, not a system issue.
Removing or limiting the device entirely punishes everyone, especially smaller creators, instead of addressing the actual problem. What we need is better guidelines and enforcement, not the removal of a key growth tool.
This will lead to:
-Bigger creators staying on top
-Smaller creators struggling to grow
-Less competition and fewer new opportunities
We should be pushing for a system that rewards good maps and talent, not just existing audiences.
If you care about the future of UEFN, please tag @FNCreate and share your thoughts. The more voices, the better chance this gets reconsidered.

Map creators are calling out Epic favoritism after Ali-A launches a new #Fortnite map 🤔
Shortly after the popular content creator released "SUPER 1V1 FFA", it was pushed to the forefront of Fortnite's Discover screen - a privilege that most developers need to pay thousands of dollars in advertising fees for. And despite the fact that map creators are explicitly forbidden from advertising Support-A-Creators code in-game, another user noticed that Ali-A, SypherPK, and Nick Eh 30 do exactly that on their creator pages.
"SUPER 1V1 FFA" reached a concurrent player count of over 19,313 players yesterday, at least partially thanks to Epic's support. That said, it is worth noting that Ali-A also advertised his map on his social media pages, and is also running an event where players can win a million V-Bucks, which was also a likely contributor.

We’ve added a new Fortnite Developer Rule to address spam islands in Fortnite:
1.9.1 - “No one likes spam. Do not publish multiple copies of the same island or metadata in an attempt to manipulate search ranking, engagement, or visibility from the same account, alternate accounts or teammate accounts.”
Starting March 11, developers breaking this rule will face escalating penalties, including impacts to monetization, island removal, and account suspension.
We’ll also be rolling out new automated tooling in the coming weeks to prevent spam islands from being published.

📢 Discover tiles are getting streamlined! With v39.40, Battle Royale, Reload, and OG now have one tile for Battle Royale, Zero Build, and Ranked or Unranked playlists.
Pick the tile in Discover, then choose your mode - just like you would select your team size.
This is such a dumb comparison, Epic is literally paying for servers and employees to maintain the ecosystem. Fortnite is an UGC platform not a marketplace for stand alone games like Steam is...

We've fixed the issue with XP in UEFN/Creative islands and Accolades now reward XP again. XP earned from playing islands has also been returned to its original values.
Please note: Some islands may need a few minutes to recalibrate before granting XP through Accolades.
We're temporarily uncalibrating XP earned from Accolades in UEFN and Creative islands while we work to fix a crash issue. No XP has been lost, and you'll still earn a similar amount of XP when playing an island, just not from specific actions.
This issue will be fixed in our 39.11 game update next week.

People forget that 74 CCU beats most jobs.
74 players a day = $3K–$5K/month.
That’s $36K–$60K/year - from one map.
Here are 3 jobs that pay about the same:
1. Nurse
2. Electrician
3. Teacher
And they work 40 hours a week.
Your game pays you while you sleep.
Don’t focus on peaks.
1,000 CCU for a day means nothing if no one comes back.
Build maps that players want to come back to.
A small group of returning players = financial freedom.

.@FNCreate I wish we were encouraged to update our games instead of scared to update our games due to XP recalibration. Ouch!
