If you remove these abstractions AI will develop it's own and the differences will be that (1) they will be worse in many cases, (2) you will not understand them, and (3) you will lose ability to express requirements

My custom graphics/game engine does UI by just rawdogging the math to lay out pixels in x/y space on the screen
Flex box and other constraint based UI layout systems became ubiquitous because it’s faster for humans to describe layout at a higher level and let the system self organize and do the math
This is not a problem for the models anymore (they’ve been good since Opus 4.5) so why limit them to these constraints?
