Most of us felt 2024 in the market. Few saw the books.

There medical doctors in Upper West Regional hospital who haven’t been paid for an entire year. 12 months no salary. What’s the point of sending doctors outside Accra if you won’t pay them on time? They’re supposed to just somehow survive for a whole year without pay?

Some arrivals feel a little like coming home.
Special to be back in #Ghana 🇬🇭, a country so central to my own journey, and to receive such a warm welcome.
Looking forward to two days of conversations, partnerships, and possibilities for Ghana and our region.

Dumelo has really started something
“When did John Dumelo become an MP? A young man like John Dumelo is already doing so much. We want an MP like John Dumelo.”
—A resident of Ashaiman has expressed frustration over the lack of development in the area, despite retaining their MP.
He compared the MP to other members of Parliament who are actively engaging with their constituents and working to make a positive impact in their communities.

The GIMPA Bypass has gained notoriety as a haven for armed robbers and petty thieves. Yet, the road remains without streetlights, with only one police checkpoint stationed at one of its entry points at night.
Motorists are expected to drive at 50 km/h on this poorly lit road, effectively increasing their exposure to criminals who lurk in the surrounding bushes.
It makes no sense to me and I am inclined to agree with those who argue that Traffitech is more about revenue generation than road safety.
