🚨 Raphinha reflects on his Ballon d’Or snub following Harry Kane’s win: 🎙️ “Honestly, man, I found it funny when I saw him win it. Not because of Harry, of course, but because of how things work with this award. (laughs) “Harry is a wonderful person, and he deserves recognition for the season he had. But what I still don’t understand is the criteria for winning the Ballon d’Or. “He scored a lot of goals, and that seems to have counted for a lot. But when it was my turn, I scored goals too, and somehow, it wasn’t enough. (laughs) “Anyway, my favourite was Lamine Yamal. I thought he deserved it, but that’s my opinion. I respect the decision, and congratulations to Harry.”

🚨Robert Lewandowski on Harry Kane Winning the Ballon d’Or Ahead of Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé: “Harry Kane winning the Ballon d’Or is the right result, and it is a result that football needed. This is what years of work, consistency and quiet determination actually look like when they are finally recognised. Harry spent the best years of his career at Tottenham scoring goals, breaking records and carrying a team that never quite won the biggest prizes. He did not stop. He did not complain every week. He kept performing at the highest level until he moved to Bayern and continued doing exactly the same thing. Now he has the individual award that matches the career he has already built. That is the proper reward for sacrifice, not a consolation prize handed out because the media decided someone was due. Winning it at this stage of his career makes the story stronger, not weaker. Football is not a race to see who can be crowned first. There is a habit now of deciding that certain young players will dominate the next ten years, so they should already be treated as the best in the world. Lamine Yamal is an exceptional talent. Kylian Mbappé is one of the most complete forwards of his generation. Their time may come. But being the face of the future, having the biggest social-media following, or being the most marketable name does not mean the award already belongs to you before a full season has been judged. Harry has proved, over many seasons, that he belongs among the best. That is the difference. For Bayern Munich this is also historic. The last player to win the Ballon d’Or while at the club was Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981. Harry is the first Bayern player to take it in the 21st century. That matters. I know something about scoring goals at the highest level for a long time, winning trophies, and finishing close to this award more than once without ever holding it. It is not easy. That is why I respect what Harry has done. He never stopped doing the hard part of the job. The message is simple. Talent, highlight reels and predictions about future greatness are not the same as delivering the best season. If football wants to stop crowning players mainly on hype, age or commercial appeal, this is what that looks like. Harry Kane did the work for years. Now he has the Ballon d’Or. That should be the standard, not the exception.”

🚨Marc Cucurella reacts to Lamine Yamal comments after the 2-1 victory in El Classico. Reporter🗣️: You gave Lamine Yamal the toughest game, but do you mind telling us your reaction to his words about destroying you in this game.? Cucurella🗣️: I saw everything he said after I signed for Real Madrid, but we had a conversation where he wanted to convince me to join Barcelona but I made up my mind and stay true to myself.” “And I think because his wish wasn’t granted thats why he made comments about destroying me on the pitch In the El Classico.” “And honestly knowing I have the same quality just like him, and maybe I know him very well on the ball than he does know for himself.” “But I don’t speak publicly because I let my performance speak for me, this was the moment I’ve been waiting for to speak about his comments.” We only respond on the pitch and not the media.”

🚨 Victor Osimhen on his heated confrontation with Škriniar: 🎙️ “Honestly, I don’t understand how he wasn’t sent off. He was already on a yellow card, and look at the kind of tackle he made on me. For me, that was a dangerous challenge, and I don’t understand what the referee was waiting for. “This isn’t the first time something like this has happened between us. It happened when I was at Napoli, and now it’s happening again at Galatasaray. I understand that everyone wants to win, and I’m someone who hates losing as well, but you don’t have to try to injure another player to win a football match. “I went to the referee and complained because I felt it was a clear red card, but nothing happened. What am I supposed to do? Just stand there and accept it? “The funny thing is that if I react, everybody starts talking about my attitude. They will say Osimhen is aggressive, Osimhen cannot control his emotions, and all of that. But nobody talks about what happened before I reacted. I’m also a human being, and I deserve to be protected on the pitch like every other player. “I don’t have a problem with anyone competing against me. That’s football. But there has to be a limit. I’m here to play, score goals and help Galatasaray win, not to fight with anybody.”

🚨🎙️Jurgen Klopp on Harry Kane winning the Ballon d’Or over Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. 🎙️Reporter: Do you think Harry Kane deserved to win the Ballon d’Or ahead of Mbappé and Lamine Yamal? 🗣️Klopp: First of all, Harry Kane had an incredible season, and I have nothing against him winning the award. He’s a fantastic striker, and nobody can deny what he brings to his team. But if we’re being completely honest about this conversation, I think Lamine Yamal has been treated unfairly, and that’s what bothers me. We’ve seen this happen before. Robert Lewandowski scored 55 goals in the 2019/20 season, won the Champions League and almost everything available with Bayern Munich, yet he didn’t receive the Ballon d’Or because the award. Erling Haaland scored 52 goals in his first season at Manchester City, won the treble and still finished behind Lionel Messi. Those decisions were already difficult to understand, but with Lamine, I feel there’s another problem: people are beginning to treat his age as a reason to overlook what he’s achieving. 🎙️Reporter: So you believe Yamal deserved to win it this year? 🗣️Klopp: I believe his season deserved much more recognition than he’s receiving. This is a boy who is still a teenager, competing against the best players in the world and consistently putting up performances that make you stop and watch. Instead of celebrating that and judging him fairly, people keep saying he’s young and will have more chances. But who guarantees that? Who says he’ll have the same opportunities, the same team around him or the same conditions every season? What message are we sending to young players if they can work this hard, deliver at the highest level and still be told to wait because they’re too young? We cannot keep saying young players are the future of football and then refuse to judge them fairly when they arrive. If a player is good enough to compete for the biggest individual award, his age should not become an argument against him. 🎙️Reporter: But some people argue that goals and statistics should determine the winner. 🗣️Klopp: That’s exactly what I disagree with. Statistics matter, of course, but football is much more than numbers. You have to watch the matches and understand how important a player is to his team’s success. Look at what Lamine does with the ball, the pressure he puts on defenders, the chances he creates and the way he changes games. You cannot reduce all of that to goals and assists. I’m not taking anything away from Kane or Mbappé. They are outstanding players, and I’m not saying they don’t deserve their positions. But I refuse to accept that Lamine should have to wait for his turn simply because he’s younger. If we’re not going to reward a teenager fairly when he produces a season like this, then honestly, we need to ask ourselves what we’re actually rewarding with this award.

🚨Olise and Dembele on Thierry Henry’s awkward joke towards Lamine Yamal after winning his third Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony: • Reporter: Michael, Ousmane, You both joined in the laughter when Henry put Lamine on the spot. Looking back, what was your honest reaction? 🗣️ Olise: Yeah, at first we laughed too. Lamine smiled, he laughed, so in the moment it felt like banter. You follow the person it’s directed at, right? If he takes it as a joke, you kind of go with it. But watching it back… I don’t know. It felt a bit unnecessary. He’s standing there with an award he’s worked hard for, third time in a row, and the first thing is basically “but is this the one you actually wanted?” That puts him in an awkward spot in front of everyone. He lowered his head a bit, laughed it off, but just because he laughed doesn’t mean it landed well. Young players are under enough pressure already. You don’t need to highlight what he didn’t win on the night he’s being recognised for what he did achieve. 🗣️Dembélé: Exactly. I laughed in the room because Lamine did, and the crowd did. But afterwards I was thinking, why say that? Thierry’s a legend, he’s been in these situations, he knows how it feels. You can joke, of course, but there’s a line between harmless banter and making a 19-year-old feel a bit small when he should just be enjoying the moment. Lamine handled it well, he even spoke about Cubarsí, stayed humble. But that question still shifted the focus away from celebrating him. Experienced guys should know when a joke is funny and when it just creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. Just because someone laughs along doesn’t mean they fully agree with what was said, or that it was the right thing to say. 🗣️Olise: Yeah. These kids are carrying massive expectations every week. Winning the Kopa three times is special — it should be his night to be celebrated for that, not reminded about the bigger prize he didn’t get. Legends have a responsibility sometimes to protect the moment a little, not poke at it. I think a lot of people felt the same once they watched it again. 🗣️Dembélé: We’re not saying he meant anything bad by it. But timing matters. On that stage, in front of the whole football world, you can celebrate the achievement without the little dig. Lamine’s still young. He’ll have more chances at the big one. Let him have the one he actually won without the awkward question hanging over it.

🚨🎙️ Samuel Eto’o on Lamine Yamal and his Ballon d’Or chances. “It’s actually funny seeing the amount of criticism Lamine has received since El Clásico. People are talking about that performance as if it sums up his entire Ballon d’Or campaign. What are we even talking about? 2026 Ballon d’Or is what matters now, and one bad game shouldn’t suddenly erase everything he has done. What pisses me off the most is seeing his own Culers criticizing him, calling him all sorts of names just because he had a bad game. Who the hell doesn’t have a bad game? Even Lionel Messi had bad games. Maybe that’s the price you pay for playing for a club like Barcelona, but people forget everything too quickly. Lamine is special, and I don’t think a player should be celebrated only when he does extraordinary things and then get torn apart the moment he has one bad performance. Sometimes, I look at the criticism and remember how young this boy actually is. The expectations placed on him are enormous, yet people act as if he’s not allowed to make mistakes. For me, he remains a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or. He was the best player in La Liga last season, won trophies with both his club and country, and played a crucial role in his team’s success. You cannot ignore all of that because of one El Clásico. Judge the whole season, not one afternoon. That’s how football should work.”
