Then how is he still filling stadiums at home and abroad three decades after his first album? Do you want to be the hottest thing out, burning like wildfire for three years before Kanye's Graduation knocks out your Curtis and leaves you down and out? Or do you want to be Shawn Carter, building methodically and with intention: platforms, people, a catalogue strong enough to stay relevant across decades, businesses that span industries, a multi-billion-dollar fortune, and the cultural influence to be talked about by everyone without needing to talk about anyone? Do you want to be the one that nurtured other billionaires, married Beyoncé who also became a billionaire, following your business methods or do you want to be Curtis, crying because Diddy diddled the love of your life? And with sidekicks who are still side-kicking two decades after with neither fortune nor a respectable career of their own? 50 Cent needs to surround himself with people who do not depend on him to eat. That way, someone might finally introduce him to reality.
