Former Paramus Catholic head football coach John Westervelt passed away.
He would yell "have a plan Rah!" from the sidelines to @RashanGarySport as a code for him to rush the passer on his own.
He was generous and kind. Loved his family and football.
I'll miss him.

"I just wanted to represent my school the right way. I’m just praying that wasn’t my downfall, that me doing what I thought was right wasn’t my downfall.” Strong column by @StevePoliti, who asks the NCAA to do the right thing by Rutgers star Drew Singleton.
Drew Singleton wants to return to Rutgers after declaring for the NFL last winter. Can the NCAA really deny his appeal because of an archaic rule designed to protect an amateurism that no longer exists? Column: nj.com/rutgersfootball/2022/…

Incredible moment in #Atlanta as locals flash-mobbed a Black-owned business to save it from closing! The owner expressed her deep gratitude, saying her prayers were answered. 🙌🏾 This is what community support looks like — let's keep uplifting Black businesses!
