Playing Hollow Knight and then this game amidst the hype of it's release last year was a downright divine gaming experience I wish I could relive at least once. Fucking love HK and Silksong
yo so @SquareEnix Final Fantasy Resonance sequel when that happening?

Silksong's biggest problem is it has 0 level variety, its so boring fighting a gauntlet halfway and a way too easy boss every time. It needs idk... a gorilla? He could be super smart and from the moon, with a short range toggle Tesla cannon, and a dome shield to counter aoe slop.

These 60s are because they use a 5 star system and often give 3/5 to games they thought weren’t bad or great. Just “okay”.
Then it gets turned into a 60 by Metacritic and pulls scores down.
Stop using 5 star scoring while also applying to be included on Metacritic. It’s dumb.

I think if Eurogamer are just going to give a lot of games 3/5 stars then I think they should switch to a 10 point rating system IMO, cos 3 stars translates very badly to Metacritic.
Glad i wasnt the only one noticing this i was wondering why we had so many 80s this year. A star system doesn't properly translate to a numeric 10-100. They are the sole reason why games havent gone past a 90 on metacritic.
Eurogamer being the odd one out (for the 6th time this year) single handedly made Phantom Blade Zero's overall score go from a 91 to 88, simply because they use a 5 star system.
Based on their own words: A 3/5 star review means "a positively leaning review" but the issue is metacritic forces that into a 60/100. It works as a standalone review, but in a shared aggregator like Metacritic, it actively kills the math, and can tank an overall score. And they've done it multiple times this year.
