States are interesting to me. They have one single shape, and yet within them are many different sub categories of how people can view that state. This is a great example using the state of Florida.

I grew up in a town where you could buy beer but not hard liquor (but the beer had to be room temperature at the store) in a county where you could buy liquor but not beer. So when the sheriff broke up your party out in the woods you had to pour out the beer but not (1/)

Had a mock appellate oral argument today in front of the TAs and, while I’m not a lawyer yet, I’m pretty certain that real judges would at least let you finish your opening sentence before unrelentingly peppering you with questions about an argument you haven’t made yet.
