NFTs were supposed to be yours. So why does everyone get to see everything about them? 👀 Your NFT. Your traits. Your rarity. Your metadata. Your secrets. All sitting there for the entire internet to inspect. Fungo Labs is trying something different. They’re building what they describe as the first encrypted NFTs on Ethereum, using Zama’s FHE infrastructure. Instead of minting an NFT completely exposed and trying to add privacy later… Fungo wants the NFT to be born sealed. The interesting part is that this isn’t just “hide the JPEG.” The underlying idea is: Non-fungible. Non-visible. Still onchain. FHE allows information to remain encrypted while computation can still happen on it. That opens a completely different design space for NFTs: → hidden traits → encrypted rarity → secret mechanics → private ownership experiences → reveals that actually mean something → onchain assets that don't have to expose everything And honestly… NFT privacy is one of those areas Web3 barely explored.
