馃槀馃槀Ugandans shouted! Anti City Square is in Uganda馃檲
"Ugandans shouted, yet I had planned to bring development to Kampala. I now give up on City Square," said businessman Hassan Bulwadda.
His statement comes after the Cabinet halted a contentious plan to redevelop Constitution Square into a commercial real estate complex, bringing an end to a high-stakes tug-of-war over Kampala鈥檚 premier green space and historic landmark.
Mr. Bulwadda had sought to construct an eco-friendly complex featuring a high-end hotel, a shopping mall, and solar-powered amenities on the two-acre property.

The @GovUganda calls upon all Ugandans to participate in the 4th National Cleaning Day this Saturday, 31st October, from 7am to 10am.
The nationwide exercise will be held across all districts, cities, municipalities, town councils and communities, with Lira City serving as the national cleanup site in recognition of its role as a host city for AFCON 2027.
All leaders, institutions, businesses, schools, households and community organisations are urged to mobilise, provide the necessary cleaning equipment and actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean.
Priority areas include roadsides, markets, drainage channels, health facilities, schools, workplaces and residential neighbourhoods.
Local authorities are expected to ensure the proper collection, transportation and disposal of waste at approved facilities.
Beyond the three-hour exercise, every Ugandan is encouraged to embrace responsible waste disposal, prevent illegal dumping and maintain clean surroundings throughout the year.
Please plan your movements accordingly, as restrictions on the movement of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians will apply from 7am to 10am, subject to specified exemptions.
Together, let us demonstrate patriotism and collective responsibility in building a cleaner, healthier and safer Uganda. #OpenGovUg #NationalCleaningDay

A general like Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni is not a priest. He is the biggest politician in the land because he is responsible for security which is a political matter not religious or entertainment affairs.
In serious countries where they follow the law, A general does not have the powers to engage in politics while actively serving as a military officer, but guess what, in Uganda a military officer is in charge of replacing ministers, people in parliament, placing new Kings of his choice鈽癸笍鈽癸笍the whole situation nolonger makes sense to me at all hmm
