Little surprised, only because the game is in STL. That’s Dobes’ North American home. Most figured they would give him that one. This is nothing but a sure tell sign that Fowler has taken the starter’s role.
Jacob Fowler gets his THIRD consecutive start tonight against the Blues 👀

Might be the most unlikeable dude in the league at this point.

#Habs Noah Dobson on Jacob Fowler
"He's so calm there. When goalies are on top of their game, they're making it look easy. Lately, he's been in the zone, locked in and done a great job. We're fortunate to have three great goalies who give us a chance to win every night."

Last season, the #GoHabsGo were 23rd in shot share, 27th in high-danger scoring chance share, and 23rd in expected goals.
This year: 5th in shots, 6th in HD share, and 9th in expected goals.
Overall, the Canadiens have improved the process considerably. Results should follow.

I could totally see the wings using the threat of a Larkin trade to MTL to up Minnesotas price. Their AGM following us and the entire media talking about Larkin to MTL would suddenly make a lot of sense

Adam Engstrom has elite numbers at 5v5.
- 61.4% shot share, 2nd among all defencemen (Hutson 1st with 62.6%).
- 63.6% expected goal share, 1st among Habs defencemen.
- 71.4% high-danger shot share, 1st among Habs defencemen.
He definitely deserves to be playing. #GoHabsGo

Jacob Fowler entered the season as the best goaltending prospect in the world.
Now? He's been Montreal's best goalie, and, statistically, one of the best puck stoppers in the NHL.
What a rush for the youngster – but the opportunity is well-deserved:

“I’ve learned to scout on an NHL level” is one of the best sentences this app has ever produced
Replying to @mathewjdp
For the past two years, I’ve been working non-stop on scouting and philosophy because...
1. Public data is always way behind.
2. I want to understand and maybe even align with the private scouting info teams use.
After years of research—following clues from team press conferences, looking at player similarities, and reverse-engineering private data concepts into my own methods—I’ve learned to scout on an NHL level.
The validation is pretty cool: it’s when the Oilers pick up a player I specifically liked or advocated for (like Skinner, Arvidsson, Savoie, Levi, Mangiapane, and many many more).
This isn't really about me, though. It’s about trying to figure out what those private models track and what GMs look for when they’re scouting talent or making roster decisions.

My column on Jacob Fowler showing why he should now be the Canadiens' undisputed No. 1 goalie after five straight wins, improving his season record to 5-1 with a 1.79 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.
