The "five Israelis" were on-duty IDF soldiers, by the way. Seems like an important detail to include.

Some things the British media and political class have reacted hysterically to during Israel's genocide:
- The Maccabi Tel Aviv fan ban
- Bob Vylan
- Gary Lineker
- The Green Party motion
Something they have not reacted hysterically to:
- The genocide

I believe that using the likeness of a newborn baby to promote pornographic material, as Bonnie Blue is doing, should be illegal.
In fact using the likeness of any underage child in porn or to promote porn should be illegal. I feel this shouldn’t need arguing @andyburnham

I watched weekend after weekend for two years at the Palestine demonstrations people being told to remove masks and being arrested if they didn’t. Last weekend at carnival I saw police forcing people to remove decorative flag bandanas or face arrest.

Just total misuse of religion here to defend a foreign government engaged in an illegal occupation and daily war crimes. Sanctions on Israeli settlers have nothing to do with British Jews. To use British Jews as a shield for Israeli settlers is not just dangerous but antisemitic.
And as for Israel being singled out, this zombie lie never dies. Western governments sanction all sorts of foreign governments all the time - often for doing much less than Israel is doing!
The JLC is deeply concerned by reports that the government is preparing to announce measures to prohibit or restrict trade with Israeli settlements. Throughout the summer, we have urged the government to avoid irreversible steps that could further damage the UK’s relationship with Israel and have a harmful impact on the UK Jewish community.
We share concerns about settler violence and extremism. However, there is a deeply troubling question of why Israel is being singled out for this form of economic action. If the government proceeds with this approach, it would be the latest in a series of punitive acts taken towards a supposed ally of this country. The harsh reality is none of these actions have had any influence on the situation on the ground. As Israel approaches pivotal elections on 27th October, we urge the government to carefully consider that the only impact of further interventions will be to embolden extremist factions within Israel.
We also urge the government to consider the unintended consequences for our community of the proposals that are being considered. These include the risk of harming the legitimate connection between British Jews and places of great religious, cultural and historic significance, including the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site. Broad, untargeted measures may inadvertently become a wider boycott of Israel, giving legitimacy to those who reject Israel's very existence, and placing increased scrutiny on British Jews at a time when antisemitism in the UK is more prevalent and more violent than ever.

Thank you for saying this. It is a skill to take history, examine and then appropriately risk hold and keep patients safe and well. (Still not convinced this can be done safely on the phone)
ITS BLOODY HARD.
And so when we ask for specialist help, we need it. Because we have done all we can.
Replying to @Adejibo
I think GPs are the boldest.
In ED, we are "bold", but at least we have CT syndrome, and there are bloods to back us up.
But a GP will see chest pain and say You know what, this is non-cardiac/not acute, go home, and take this info leaflet.
Greet the kids.
All of that in 10 minutes.
No bloods, nothing.
These are decisions that will have people running around in the average ward.

Beloved Palestinian academic, teacher & poet Refaat Alareer's (@GazaWritesBack) last poem before he was murdered by Israel was about the kids in Gaza playing with Kites.
Today Israel killed a 4 y.o kid for doing just that!

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

My abortion was at 23 weeks for a similar diagnosis. All of his organs except his heart and lungs were in a sac outside his abdomen, and they all were severely underdeveloped. Cysts on his brain. No chance of comfort, even if he did survive. My abortion was a radical act of love.
I’m literally crying.
This is the most horrific video from a pregnant woman I’ve ever seen. I’m not even exaggerating.
She’s talking about a late-term abortion she’s having that day, at 26 weeks.
Just listen: “I’m booked in for my termination this morning.”
“I am at peace with my decision”
“You lay on a bed awake, and they have doctors and midwives in the room.
Under ultrasound, a needle into the baby’s heart and inject it to stop it from beating.
And then you slowly feel all the movements stop from the baby. No more kicks.
Get sent home for another twenty-four hours, back up to the hospital and we induce you vaginally. Give birth to a sleeping baby.”
She tells the older child that the baby sister is “going to live in the clouds” with her grandmother and makes her kiss her pregnant belly goodbye.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This post is leaving out key information in Danielle Mitchell’s pregnancy. Her baby was facing extreme complications inside and outside of the womb. OP left this out to emotionally bait people for engagement. This is a medically induced abortion due to the babies complications.

We are deeply disturbed by reports of the arrest of Dr Dima Mohammed Amin, a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, from her home in the West Bank, Palestine. Dr Dima is the latest victim in Israel's systematic campaign of hunting down and detaining Palestinian medics.
She joins Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, Dr Iyad Al-Rantisi, Dr Mohammed Obeid and scores of others in arbitrary Israeli detention. They have not been charged with any offence; they were simply treating patients. That is not a crime.
We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all healthcare workers arbitrarily detained by Israeli forces.
