Starship transiting the Sun this morning during Flight 14 — prior to this morning's mission, this has never been captured before with the world's largest and most powerful rocket.
I’ve ached over this shot for years, mainly for two reasons: what does methane exhaust look like silhouetted against the Sun, and how violent are the acoustic energy waves from 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster?
Well...now we have an answer.

A sight that’s starting to feel novel again…
Falcon 9 first stage B1085 has returned to Port Canaveral aboard SpaceX’s recovery drone ship “A Shortfall of Gravitas,” after launching the Bandwagon-5 mission this past Tuesday morning.
With no Falcon launch operations expected for the next ~6 weeks from Florida, that would mark the longest gap between Space Coast launches since 2020.

We used to see this every couple days on the space coast... now we're lucky if we see it once a week.

Nadir views of earthly auroras through a fisheye lens, distorting the planet into a green sphere. The Soyuz that brought my MS-26 crew and I is in the foreground. Fisheyes are less popular camera lenses to use in orbit but can make some way cool photos!
Amazing to hear from @TurkeyBeaver, @jstyer, and Mark Soltys tonight in Cocoa Village, sharing their stories from SpaceX over the years—from recovering Ship 40 to their human spaceflight program and so much more.
And as if the Florida Starship hype train wasn’t already gathering speed, after hearing what really lies ahead for the Space Coast, it’s full steam ahead.
Bring it on!

We have completed breakover operations for the Neutron Stage 2 tank assembly, rotating the stage horizontal – a critical step in the handling of large rocket sections for integration and assembly.
Here’s a last look at Stage 2 on the Neutron Factory floor before it’s wrapped up (literally) for barge shipment to LC-3 on Wallops Island where its fluid systems will be tested and its Archimedes vacuum engine installed.
Can confirm: the Rocket Ranch Outpost is the ***best*** spot to watch a launch from in Starbase. Ship catch from here is gonna be NUTS.
Unobstructed views of Pad 2 less than 4 miles away — roughly the same distance as the Kennedy Space Center Press Site to LC-39A!

I saw my first launch from @RocketRanchTX Outpost for Flight 14 and I was blown away! I wish I had started going there earlier because the view is incredible and it's going to be the best place to view the catch from! I can't wait for Flight 15!

3.7 miles: the distance from the Outpost to the launch mount.
Rocket Ranch guests watch launches from the Outpost, reached by shuttle. Look for the DON'T PANIC container.
Tag who you're bringing to Flight 15.
