You’ll want to while away time, maybe see one episode of your favorite series, or take a lazy nap, and then you’ll see someone in your industry say he made like $2k in a day, or paste like $25k in the last 28 days dashboard, sleep will just leave your eyes, pium! Love the pressure! 😂😂

If you pick a wrong topic, no amount of good titling, great thumbnail, world record breaking script, will save you. The topic first. And picking a topic because your competitor worked on it will not save you either. YouTube is crazy.

I’ve been doing YTA since 2024, here are some mistakes that slowed my growth. 1. Pick a niche and stick to it. Before you create the account and have decided to get into a niche, do extensive research and pick one. Don’t go jumping into any one you’ve heard is doing well. This is also not going to be possible if you’re entering YTA. from a place of desperation. You make a lot of mistakes and wrong decisions. 2. Define your Niche, know it well, and understand the sub niche you’re getting into. If you keep uploading videos on different sub niches even if they’re under the same niche, this can stall your growth. 3. Don’t delete videos from your channel. If you create a video and it doesn’t perform as expected, you can change the title and the thumbnail and see how it performs. If it is still not doing well, let it go! Deleting videos because you want to post on another channel or you feel sore about it, or you want to correct and repost, kills your channel. The data in that video is used by YouTube to understand what your channel is about. Don’t delete. They’re many others and I’ll discuss in parts as we go. Follow for more.

On another very different topic. Earlier this year, with the new year spirit, I thought it’d be a cool idea to learn a new language. I imagined traveling to a Francophone or a French speaking country and speaking with the locals like a pro, and so, with much enthusiasm I texted a French tutor on IG. He sent me a bill of N750k for about a month or so. I’ve never seen light leave my eyes so fast. 😂 But, in recent developments, a friend who is learning Spanish has encouraged me to use Duolingo. It’s not bad so far. Plus, everyone around me is learning to speak one foreign language or the other. I love the influence my select circle of people have on me. #duolingo #learningfrench

Is trust score a real thing on YouTube? Or it’s just another excuse for people who don’t do their research well. I’m on the fence on this one. With time I’ll have a definite answer. What are your thoughts?

On warming YouTube channels. I’ve warmed one for over a month, and I’ve warmed one for about 4 days, and there’s one I didn’t warm at all and started posting the next day. The one I warmed for over month has been sitting on 36 impressions for over 72 hours. Warming channels may have little to no effect on how a channel performs after all.

It’s 20.10 again. Here’s a shocker: I have never been pro-Japa. Matter of fact, I’ve always known that I can make it in this country. I like the idea of having one of those types of bungalows with wide windows. A home at the centre of many hectares of land, surrounded by gardens, a poultry farm, a fish pond, farm animals, exotic animals too, like peacocks and monkeys, and what have you. A basketball court, a vegetable farm, an outdoor grill, maybe a swimming pool… the type of furniture you’d see in the ’80s, and so much colour that you can taste the breeze from miles away. And domestic staff. Travel to countries on a whim or go on planned vacations, and then come back home. There really wasn’t anybody more patriotic than me in the years that have gone by. I say this because I do not know if I feel the same way anymore. The labour of our heroes past, as the days go by, is starting to feel like it’s all been in vain.

This video has 460 views on IG. Over 10% follows. Would be creating more video contents then. I’ve actually missed creating content.

The reality of it all is that strangers will patronize you, help your master your craft way more and long before friends and family do. And those stranger will not come to your house to get you. Put out your work, as rough as it is, as unrefined as you are. You will get better, you’ll grow your own community of people who trust your work and ethic. Post your work!
