The Sol Foundation's @GarryPNolan and Peter Skafish very much appreciated participating with @ProfAviLoeb and @uncertainvector in this event, organized by @PeterDiamandis and Lyn Lear, on UAP science and disclosure.
The Sol Foundation and its cofounders, @GarryPNolan and Peter Skafish, are proud to appear in Ilan Greenberg's new coverage of the UAP Science Advisory Council in @politico: politico.com/news/magazine/2…
Likely the most significant record in today’s federal government UAP records release is the audio and transcript of a recording of a 1952 talk on then-recent UFO data and events by Captain Edward Ruppelt, the head of the US Air Force’s Project Blue Book in the early 1950s. The Sol Foundation will be reading and analyzing the record of this presentation as you do, and we’ll present our comments publicly soon. We again thank @RepEricBurlison and his staff for locating and declassifying this material.
The Sol Foundation wishes to recognize @RepEricBurlison for yet another victory against blanket UAP secrecy.
The Sol Foundation wishes to thank the White House, @DepDNILukas, and the PURSUE release team for another tranche of UAP records, which includes a copy of the neglected footage of multiple UAP shot over Tremonton, Utah in 1952 by a Navy aviation photographer, who stated to Air Force investigators that the UAP were “large, disc-shaped, and brightly lit.” (Link of film in comments.) The film is a reminder that UAP were regularly observed in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s and that relevant government records from this period remain extraordinarily incomplete
Durham University professor and the Chair in Global Law and SETI Policy Michael Bohlander joins Dr. Peter Skafish of the Sol Foundation for a wide-ranging discussion of the legal questions surrounding UAP. They examine why classified claims remain so difficult to verify publicly, how secrecy can create constitutional and evidentiary problems, and why courts offer a different framework for evaluating witness testimony than the natural sciences. Most interestingly, Bohlander shares his thoughts of the implications that reported encounters with nonhuman intelligence could have for human rights, international law, and sovereignty.
