Grateful that someone other than my mom read it. Thanks!

If you’re ever called on to deliver a memorial message, take some pointers from @PatDonahoeArmy; an authentic, raw, and powerful tribute during today’s GWOT Memorial Rededication at @FortBenning. “I know the feeling of anguish when you come upon their names...“ #911Remembered
But answering the question, yes, chaplains can get tasked. You should start tasking yours!

Senior chaplains are often under the impression they can task junior chaplains outside their organizations.

Maybe a good question for someone like @MG_SmithT or @PatDonahoeArmy - Is ambition a characteristic of senior leadership? I heard a former III Corps Commander say, “One doesn’t get to 3 Star without a little bit of an ego.”
@JohnMcRaeII a helpful explanation, but even in Grant’s time and context, wasn’t his denial of ambition slightly disengenuous?

Another great article from @jbyerly81 and @FTGNotebook. Never underestimate the power of narrative. “Organizations with strong, positive cultures have great stories that are told time and time again by its members.” fromthegreennotebook.com/202…

“...when someone asked Bonhoeffer whether he shouldn't join the German Christians in order to work against them from within, he answered that he couldn't. 'If you board the wrong train,' he said, 'it is no use running along the corridor in the opposite direction.’” -@ericmetaxas
Remembering those who held the line 75 years ago. “We are giving our country and our loved ones at home a worthy Christmas present and being privileged to take part in this gallant feat of arms are truly making for ourselves a Merry Christmas.” #MerryChrismas #BattleoftheBulge
