If a major UK broadcaster turned a blind eye to this.. how can we put a stop to it? This is exactly why we need more TV and film workers to log their working hours on The Time Project. #ItsAboutTime👊

We wanted to share some more survey results we found out.. Out of 36 possible topics to vote on, these were the top 6! We've had a brilliant response to the survey and we're very confident that we're getting closer to what freelancers need to feel more empowered in their work!🙌

We would like to pose a question.. would you be prepared to share your contract of employment to gain access into a private room? With an extra layer of protection to keep it safe for freelancers. Let's chat! Comment below what you think, or send us a DM!🫵

People can’t be disposable commodities, not when they are so talented and full of passion for their work but, how can it change? Don’t even get us started on prod co’s driving rates down and exploiting the desperation..that’s just a final kick in the teeth?

Or, will they not do that because they want everyone to hang around so they can have the pick of the crop when the boom comes back? Can Senior Broadcasters ever understand the grapple for work when they have a salary, a pension, flexi hours and job stability?

How does this change? Would it help if broadcasters had the balls to put out a red warning, telling freelancers that the next 12 months is going to be very short of work because only THEY KNOW what’s coming up, what’s booked in and how budgets are looking?

We know, first hand, that no matter how many times you hear that “the industry is quiet”, you can’t help but think you’ve done something wrong. We all know people who have worked continuously through the drought, telly’s top 10% seem to have 90 % of the work.

We’re sure there are thousands of stories like this across the industry right now. The “Hold your nerve” message just shows the lack on understanding from the top about how freelancers are hit when Telly turns from feast to famine.
