Earnest take: I think it’s probably not healthy for the practice of democratic self-government that so many people have developed strong rooting interests in elections in countries they don’t live in.
Europe take measures to sanction any Israeli government that emerges from the next election that refuses to arrest and disarm any and all Settler Terrorists.
Economic and diplomatic isolation followed by sustained peacebuilding is the only way we can end this madness.

I listened to Ed Davey on the @BBCr4today this morning, and frankly, I think he missed the point.
The idea that we're keeping the triple lock to help millennials is at best for the birds, and at worst downright insulting. I say that as a millennial.
The case for the triple lock is a worthy one - stopping pensioner poverty. I want that as much as anyone. But pensioners are now less likely to be in poverty than children or working age adults.
We talk about fairness, yet our answer is to give the same increase to every pensioner, treating the one choosing between heating and eating exactly the same as the one with millions in the bank. I can see no moral or fiscal case for above inflation rises for millionaires.
That money should go where it's needed most - to everyone in poverty, not just one group. It could help fund free personal care, a policy that would disproportionately benefit older people.
Ed is right that we shouldn't pit one generation against another. But intergenerational inequality is already one of the defining injustices of our time, and this would further entrench it. Worse, it gaslights an entire generation into believing it's for our benefit.
Telling millennials we're keeping the triple lock to help us in 30 years' time is nonsense. We're on course to be the first generation worse off than our parents. We're locked out of the housing market, paying higher taxes, repaying student loans that never seem to shrink, and putting off having children because of the cost of living.
I joined this party because I care about fairness and tackling inequality, and that has to include inequality between generations.
This line, and this decision, fails on both counts. Ed needs to think again.
Calling up my war-criminal friend to tell him it's okay that his closest ally wants to invade Britain
Logging back in to X.com (the everything app) to remind people that you cannot expect to remain a member of a political party if you choose to campaign against it's candidates. A principle which has been roughly the case for 350 years.

Congratulations to our North East Scotland MSP Yi-Pei Chou Turvey who has won the rising star award at the 50th anniversary ALDE Congress!
Incredible how the only woman present is *REDACTED* as if she's a former President in a photo with a sex offender

I had an interaction with the British upper class, which means they bumped into my friend, asked him where he went to university, were skeptical of that - and sought to initiate violence

You bolt awake in a leafy suburb. It is 2016. You are a member of the Richmond Park by-election candidate approval & selection committee, and you have changed your mind. The future cannot come to pass.

🚨 Liberals demand urgent medical care for @Helenkhosh, leader of political party @DroaParty.
Unlawfully imprisoned for nearly 10 months, her health is rapidly deteriorating while she is being denied proper medical treatment. Without care, she risks irreversible damage to her health that could leave her unable to walk.
The Georgian Dream must act now and ensure Elene Khoshtaria receives the treatment she urgently needs.

Europe Day is a special occasion. It marks the anniversary of our continents collective ambition to build the most peaceful, prosperous, democratic society in history.
It's imperfect. The war in Ukraine and Brexit remind us of how far we have to go. But the only way is forward🇪🇺
I think it's fair that a business using public land in order to generate revenue should pay a small amount of that revenue to the state

It certainly will impact an awful lot of people, 100 new full time jobs is excellent news!
