Losing your eligibility could be scary, so ask before you act!
In order to remain eligible for practice and competition, student-athletes are not allowed to agree to professional contracts, either orally or in writing, regardless of the legal enforceability of that agreement.
ALT 12.2.4 Contracts and Compensation. An individual shall not enter into any kind of agreement to compete in professional athletics, either orally or in writing, regardless of the legal enforceability of that agreement.
