@Microsoft is fucking retarded. And I mean in a way that’s offensive to retarded people.
Please introduce a flavor of @Windows that brings back the W7 and early W10 experience. Before the subscription, telemetry, MS Store, sponsored apps and AI bullshit. Just vanilla windows.
$5.83 to drive our EV the past week. Wifey uses it to commute $0.27 each direction. I run errands in it in the evenings because I don’t want to drive our ICE. I enjoy driving a Tesla.

The end is the best.
This guy sums up what I hear from practically every person I know. Perfectly.
The Decoy Dan Plan is working so far. nitter.gq/i/election/race/104725…
Epic post. I believe several more reasons explain why we lost, and the top comments nailed it. It’s not the end of America.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
There’s a lot of very upset people venting on X about the election results. Lot of cursing and bad mouthing. Insightful, productive dialogue as well. Two things are facts:
- America is still great 🇺🇸
- X is a free speech platform for all
Happy Wednesday everyone!
This looks like high frame rate animation and it looks awesome. @grok what is this?
Whoa the blue team took it all this time around and it didn’t take weeks & months. I was hopeful but not surprised. Blue voters want more of the same, or worse. Example: Becerra said everything was on the table re: per-mile tax for driving a vehicle in California. 🤷
🪦 RIP California.
Just 7 minutes after polls close, @latimes calls it for @XavierBecerra over @SteveHiltonx
If true, we just witnessed a do-nothing lifetime career politician who didn’t bother campaigning defeat one of the best candidates we have seen for any office in a long time.
How did they call a California race so fast? Doesn’t it take weeks and months to count ballots and find the votes to win? He didn’t even campaign or show up to subsequent debates. And lied about moving here from Mexico. nitter.gq/i/election/race/104728…
I voted! Dropped my ballot off at the library and looked at the books. I found the secrets of adulthood.
🗳️ First time voting in an election + the primary thing earlier this year. Straight red ticket. I hope I get to a polling station where the DOJ sent resources. My county was one of the naughty ones requiring supervision 😆
Good luck @SteveHiltonx and @GloriaJRomero! 🗳️
Sacramento baby let’s go! I waited to vote until Election Day too. What a gift to voters.
The Justice Department announced Tuesday that for the first time ever, it is sending election monitors to all 50 states. In California, the jurisdictions that will be monitored are Los Angeles, Alameda, San Diego and Sacramento. abc7ne.ws/qUGLGd
This event is terrible.
The quality of the video production and presentation is very good.
Viewer discretion advised. This is a 3 minute real time replay of the Florida Learjet 60 crash, with the uncut ATC audio.
It pulls together public ADS-B, weather radar, satellite, dashcam and drone video onto one timeline.
Here's what we know as of Nov 2 based on OSINT and today's NTSB briefing:
- Went from ~35,000 ft to impact in ~78 seconds
- Flew into a string of thunderstorms
- Crew reported ice and turbulence; asked to climb then issued a mayday
- All nine aboard are deceased, with one person injured on the ground
- Plane debris spread across half a mile and still being recovered
- NTSB says there is some evidence the jet broke up before impact
- Weather at altitude is a key focus of the investigation; but the official cause is still TBD
I make a lot of 4D reconstructions and this is the most visceral and gut wrenching thing I’ve heard in a long time. My heart goes out to the families of those on board. Important to note that the details so far point to severe weather at altitude rather than a missile or air defense system.
