day 2 of building Trender ai in public.
Trender ai is the easiest carousel editor with beautiful templates for those who don't want to spend an hour designing slides.
how it works:
1- send it your text, or just the idea you want to write about
2- it writes the copy for you (based on thousands of viral carousels) and breaks it into slides
3- pick a template
4- drop in a photo or a video (if you want)
5- your carousel is ready to post in under 5 minutes
next up: an MCP. talk to claude or codex, build the carousel right there, synced to the app.
six months ago this was a completely different product. i mean nothing similar to what it is now. we rebuilt it out of customer feedback. will tell you more about that tomorrow.
do you ever post carousels to instagram, tiktok, or linkedin? would love to get your feedback on Trender!
Instead of blocking ai agents, companies should learn to work with them.
The future I envision is one where people spend less time behind screens and more time outdoors, enjoying nature and experiencing real life, while agents handle much of what we do online.
We’ll be able to guide them with voice, stepping in whenever we want or need to.
The next evolution of the internet will be built for agents to navigate, interact with services, and complete tasks on our behalf.
Delta, Chase and Amazon are blocking AI agents.
The war on agents has begun, and here’s how it probably plays out:
Stage 1: Companies block agents because agents skip the ads and upsells.
Stage 2: Agents learn to act like humans, and it becomes an arms race.
Stage 3: The market splits. Companies that make money on sales let agents in, companies that make money on data charge for access, and the giants build their own agents.
Stage 4: A trusted middle layer for agent identity and payments becomes the standard way in.
Stage 5: Companies that welcome agents start winning customers from the ones that block them.
Stage 6: The agent blockers come back and let agents in on their own terms.
Stage 7: Everyone starts competing for agents with better prices, faster checkout and SEO built for agents.
Stage 8: The ads come back, and companies pay to be your agent’s first recommendation.
Stage 9: The agent war ends, and selling to agents becomes as normal as having a website.
seo/geo autopilot for Trender ai, week 2 check-in:
→ google search clicks: 195 → 284
→ sessions from chatgpt and other ai assistants: 3 → 48
→ average google position: 7.8 → 5.0
and an update on the question i asked last week. i run the same 20 unbranded prompts every week. last week trender came up in 0 of 20. this week: 1 of 20, with a direct citation.
small, but it’s the first time an ai answer cited us without anyone typing our name.
if you track ai citations, is it just chatgpt, or gemini, claude and perplexity too?
my seo for Trender ai runs on autopilot now: agents write the articles, publish them and learn before writing the next batch. i don’t touch anything.
first weekly check-in, month over month:
→ google search clicks: 176 → 262
→ sessions coming from chatgpt: 4 → 30
→ average google position: 8.2 → 5.1
are you tracking how often you get cited by ai?
Nick ordered the iPhone Duo at 5:00am today, right when pre-orders opened. It was already in his cart, but while he was choosing a pickup slot, the delivery date jumped from Oct 23 to Nov 2–9 in just 1 minute.
Turned out people who ordered 2 minutes after launch got late November.
Five minutes in – January.
You’d think Apple would hold your inventory while you check out. Apparently not. Pretty bad ux in my opinion.

best product demo i’ve seen at a tech event @Celesteamadon @dateknown
starting to see early results from the SEO/GEO automation i built for Trender
I'm building a closed loop SEO/GEO workflow for Trender. The goal: help people find the product through Google and ai answers. The way it’s going to work:
Research → articles → publishing → indexing → results → analytics and revisions for the next round of articles
I'll share my approach and progress along the way. Anyone else building something like this for their product?
