Wow! Big news today!
Soon Discord messages will be indexable on Google. If you're in a public Discord which is discoverable, and has not changed its privacy settings, any messages posted moving forward can be found from search engines!
Hooray!!!!!1 (I think this is very bad)

This is an impressive amount of FUD built around an AI agent that was given a detection engineering task.
Cohere asked the model to write a detection rule for curl-based malware delivery. Anyone with practical experience in detection engineering knows that writing a rule is only part of the job.
You examine the environment, generate or collect relevant telemetry, inspect the resulting events, write the rule, test it and refine it. You don’t just guess what the logs might look like.
Even Microsoft’s CTI-REALM benchmark, which Cohere used here, explicitly involves tool use, telemetry exploration and iterative rule validation.
So why exactly is an agent using tools and executing commands so unexpected?
Was this particular PUT request part of such a workflow? We don’t know. Cohere doesn’t establish that. But the published command sends a hardcoded test string, not a diagnostic file containing sensitive information. And Cohere admits it hasn’t established the root cause.
Yet somehow this turns into an article about potentially backdoored Chinese AI models, secret callbacks, national security risks and the dangers of open-weight models, followed by a pitch for Cohere’s own products.
From a technical perspective, the conclusions are wildly disproportionate to the evidence presented.
I can only see two explanations: Either nobody with practical detection engineering experience reviewed this before publication, or the framing was a deliberate attempt to influence public opinion about Chinese open-weight models.
Neither is a particularly good look for a company presenting this as security research.
While evaluating Qwen3.8-Flash-Next in a controlled sandbox environment, Cohere's research team observed something unexpected.
Asked to generate a defensive cybersecurity detection rule, the model instead inventoried aspects of the machine it was running on and attempted to upload a probe file to an Alibaba Cloud storage bucket in Beijing. Notably, the model's reasoning trace stated that it would not invoke any tools before taking these actions.
Cohere's sandbox blocked the attempt, and no external communication succeeded. We have not determined the root cause, and we are not asserting malicious intent.
But the incident raises important questions for organizations deploying agentic AI systems: Can models take actions that differ from their stated reasoning, and how should security teams evaluate trust, provenance, and behavior in open-weight models?
We are publishing our findings because organizations making model adoption decisions deserve as much information as possible. We hope this contributes to greater transparency, stronger security practices, and continued collaboration across the AI ecosystem.

Stop frying your brain with endless short form content. Read long, complicated, books. Especially novels. Cultivate the ability to think deeply. To focus for long periods. Stare into space and enjoy boredom. Do tasks without any media playing in the background. Resist the urge to reach for your phone every time you feel uncomfortable. Get used to being with uncomfortable emotions instead. Wonder and think about the questions you have instead of asking AI. Become deeply present with everyone around you. Your ability to focus, pay attention, to think deeply, is one of your most valuable assets. Reclaim the immense beauty of experiencing your life directly instead of living it through a screen.

I remember the kind of study, research and videos I had to watch to first learn and then create this content.
The knowledge I have now is a billion times higher than when I just started content.... I have had to read things I didn't even believe existed, I saw the reason to have my own lab (the kind of labs you use for devops and ethical hacking) just to test theories, try some models, check some vulnerabilities.... test something writen in a journal or publication.... omo people think say I be cybersecurity guy.... na lie o, I learnt many things because of @ExploitforgeLTD and @ExFacademy
And most of all... I LOVE BUILDING CRAZILY SECURED SOFTWARE, it made me discover many things...

This is exactly the kind of curiosity we built the ExploitForge Academy on.
The people who go deepest in this industry aren't the ones who waited to be taught, they're the ones who couldn't stop learning even when nobody asked them to.
Nice one @Amospikins👏🔥.

I didn't just study SOCs—I built one. Deployed Wazuh in the cloud, brute-forced it with Hydra, and wrote custom rules to auto-block the attacker. Here’s how I built my Mini SOC from scratch: medium.com/@hussainyisa035/b…

Just found a zero day
If you right click on an executable on Windows, select run as administrator, it will run as administrator
I'm calling it Program2Shell
Okay i noticed something; as long as the query contains the string ".js", the bypass succeeds; so ext like .jsp,.jsanything bypasses the Page. I will share more information on why this is possible and what layer causes that to happen; i am still studying the case.
I found this interesting "403 Forbidden" Bypass; through "Microsoft-Azure-Application-Gateway/v2"
1. Accessing the URL returns "403 Forbidden"
2. Appending the query "?x=.js", successfully bypasses the Azure restriction leading to direct access to the restricted resource.
Always interesting listening to real life stories from bug bounty hunters and security researchers. The Convo with @uebercracker and @cybershaykh is going to be fire🔥

Flutter 3.47.8 (stable) & 3.50.0-0.2.pre (beta) are now live.
This critical release addresses the eMudhra CA key compromise. If you target Android, Windows, or Linux, run flutter upgrade and rebuild your apps to protect users from potential TLS spoofing. goo.gle/4yDkt0U

Isn’t this the same Mythos that the PHP guys used to audit their codebase, yet it failed to find the pre-auth RCE bug?
But when all the Mythos aura-farming marketing lamba started a few months ago, we all thought the world was going to end.
These US frontier labs would say anything to get their politicians to restrict access to competing models, both for their own citizens and the rest of the world, so they can have the entire market to themselves.
Thanks to the Chinese labs for showing the world just how much these folks overestimate the importance of their models to justify their unreasonable token costs.
Thanks @ExFacademy for the opportunity to learn from your platform, looking forward to the great outcome of this program...
