Ukraine did this after Cuba spent hundreds of millions of dollars treating thousands of sick Ukrainian children from Chernobyl. Cuba spent 20 years providing specialised care they couldn't afford in Ukraine. Ukraine paid nothing, voting to starve Cuba was their payment I guess.

admitted to my boss that i didn't have the bandwidth to attend today's meeting [we have them every thursday morning], and she said it was okay.
it's been a rough couple weeks for me mentally and emotionally, and i'm normally good at masking to get things done, but +
this week i almost had a breakdown and a crying spell at work on monday. i told my other boss all about it and he was pretty understanding. grateful for that. i recognize where i need a bit more support, and i'm starting therapy next month to give myself some peace.

We want to note the Caribbean countries that abstained and didn't bother to vote ...y'all are cowards. Cuba educated, healed and supported our people while America denied us visas to visit, dumps deportees and threatens us.
The UN General assembly voted in favor of lifting the crippling and illegal embargo on Cuba, guess who are amongst the 17 that voted against.
Morocco the Arab republic in Africa.
Israel, the Apartheid state.
Ukraine the Nazis infested failed state.
Suprising of all was Trinidad, why did they vote against it?

CARICOM (as a bloc) UN vote is even more embarrassing, when you consider the fact that the Cuban resolution to end the US genocidal sanctions + blockade regime also included βfreedom of international trade and navigationβ β as the US is murdering fishermen at sea in the region.
The Jamaican Government is denying that any United States pressure influenced its decision to abstain from today's United Nations General Assembly vote condemning America's embargo against Cuba.

with my current platform, allow me tell you about what's happening in Indonesia.
today, massive student-led protests are taking place against the incompetent and self-serving regime.
one of the most pressing issues being raised is the BURNING DOWN of our forests and lands, which has been happening for months. you might have heard about the fires in Kalimantan/Borneo, as neighboring countries also suffer from the haze, but they're happening across other islands too; Sumatra, Papua, Sulawesi, Maluku, and even multiple mountains in Java. beyond the loss of people's homes, clean air, and clean water, we're watching our native wildlife and irreplaceable biodiversity along with centuries-old traditional sites disappear before our eyes.
yet the government has been UNWILLING to take meaningful action. instead, our public servants have been trying to silence our voices online, turning down foreign aid, and waging psywar against other countries, all without even acknowledging the severity of the situation.
budgets for disaster relief, education, and healthcare have been reallocated to the Free Meal Program, the president's flagship campaign promise, which ironically has reportedly poisoned ~40,000 children in less than 2 years, with no one being held accountable.
today, in jakarta alone 14,000 police and military personnel were deployed to confront demonstrators. This is the reality of the repressive, anti-criticism government the Indonesian people are currently facing.
and you know what? WATER CANNONS were prepared. water cannons that have never been used to fight the fires are now being aimed at the people.
today is the Youth Pledge Day, when indonesian youth pledged to fight for freedom 98 years ago.
may this freedom find us again.
Long live resistance.
