Astrocade is building the first model trained on fun. We call it the Experience Model.
Historically, games have been built to cater to millions of people at once. So every game is a compromise between what different players actually want.
But what if every game you played could feel like it was made just for you?
Our Experience Model learns what makes players tick through trillions of interactions across thousands of experiences. The goal is to understand what you love and deliver experiences tailored to your interests.
My brother/cofounder @sadeghian_ali and I sat down with @asoroken to talk about why the next great leap in entertainment will be games and playables that get better at understanding you.

What people have been missing is that games teach models things that math textbooks and reddit threads can't. There's planning, adaptation, acting under uncertainty etc.
The best data machine in the world right now is the gaming space. There's real games, real people, and diverse environments. The best training environment for intelligence is a platform people actually want to play!
Rumors I’ve been hearing. I’ll start with OpenAI, then Anthropic.
OpenAI: The internal model’s reasoning jump comes from more aggressive RL, including training in games and simulated environments. Strategies learned there transfer to research mathematics and other fields. Navier–Stokes and ETH show the scale of the improvement. The clue is in the Synthetic RL hiring: self-play, simulators, and synthetic feedback.
Anthropic: Same direction with its internal Claude model. It’s trained on long, difficult tasks in demanding environments, and the reasoning skills transfer to other fields. Its ETH result shows how far the improvement has gone. The earlier Universes listing and the RL hiring around mathematical reasoning align with that.
Musk’s Digital Optimus hiring explicitly calls for measuring transfer from games into general computer use. That’s why his game-playing AI push matters: games develop abilities that work far beyond the games themselves.
The interesting part is where those abilities show up. Each lab’s internal model applies reasoning developed through interactive training to mathematical problems that had resisted decades of work.

This game on Astrocade got 300,000 plays by letting you be the worst Chipotle employee alive 🌯
> eat their food and call it a “quality check”
> take their wallet so they pay twice
> dunk their head in the beans until they ask for your manager

This creator just built a police chase through Monaco with the Astrocade MCP🚔
- outrun cops, choppers, and roadblocks
- pull of a jewelry heist, escape by boat
- map is 1:1 with the city
And it’s going live to millions of players on Astrocade.
