🔴⚪️ To UTES Fans! ⚪️🔴
Over the years, we’ve been called every name in the book—drunks, druggies, rednecks, and just about every other insult imaginable. Heck, even a few unimaginable ones!
We’ve even been told we’re going to hell!
But if that’s true, I’d rather spend eternity in hell with you amazing people than with the alternative, who shall not be named!
Because beneath all the rivalry and trash talk, I’ve come to know this about the UTES fans. You are good, kind, accepting, and forgiving people. You stand by one another, celebrate together, and lift each other up when times get tough. You don’t cast stones at others if they don’t live up to some honor code.
And I wouldn’t trade this family for anything!
I’m proud to be a UTE, and I’ll be a UTE FOREVER! ❤️
FAMILY ON THREE!
ONE! TWO! THREE! ……… FAMILY!!!
GO UTES! 🙌🏼🏈
📣 To the BYU fans who have spent the day attacking me:
I, along with hundreds of others, criticized a BYU football player for drawing a parallel between the Savior’s Crucifixion, the disciples’ grief, and the hope of His Resurrection and BYU football’s supposed “darkest days”—losing a single football game.
We questioned the appropriateness of using the most sacred event in Christianity as a metaphor for a football loss.
And your response?
An endless barrage of insults, personal attacks, and hateful rhetoric. I’ve even been told to die and encouraged to take my own life.
Let that sink in.
People expressed concern about showing proper reverence for Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, and some of you responded with the very behavior His teachings condemn.
Where is the Christlike love? The humility? The respect for others?
You proudly defend “the Lord’s University,” yet some of you seem incapable of extending even basic human decency to someone who disagrees with you.
The hypocrisy is staggering.
You can disagree with my interpretation. You can defend the player’s intentions. But there is absolutely no justification for the hatred and personal attacks that followed.
You haven’t defended your faith or your university. You’ve demonstrated precisely why so many people find the holier-than-thou attitude surrounding BYU football so deeply off-putting.
And perhaps the saddest part is that some of you still cannot recognize the contradiction.
Go Utes! 🔴⚪️🏈
Apparently, my sarcasm went over a few heads! 😂
For those who thought I was serious, I was being FACETIOUS! Just poking fun at BYU fans and their obsession with rankings.
Some of you took the bait—hook, line, and sinker! 🎣😂
GO UTES! 🔴🏈
BYU fans can’t understand why so many people dislike their football program. Here’s a perfect example!
A BYU quarterback compared the disciples’ grief over Christ’s Crucifixion and the hope of His Resurrection to BYU football’s setbacks and hoped-for redemption.
The Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ are sacred, NOT football analogies.
Stop trivializing the Savior’s sacrifice to make a point about football. Enough already!
CAN YOU NOT SEE HOW INAPPROPRIATE THIS IS?! IT’S FOOTBALL! 🏈
The holier-than-thou mentality is exhausting!
What a difference a week makes!
Last week, BYU was flying high after beating #2 Notre Dame. Fans were literally preaching from the pulpit in church about how great BYU was!
This week? Feeling like they took a swift punch in the 🥜
I almost feel bad for you. Almost.
It’s amazing how quickly arrogance turns into despair. 😂
GO UTES! 🔴 🏈
This behavior is vile, disgraceful, and indefensible. Anyone still following this bag of feces should unfollow him, block his account, and stop giving him a platform. This is beyond disgusting. NEVER attack a child.
This isn’t representative of the BYU fan base.
