A group of friends pushed me to get Revolut in order to split the bill for a group event. Every one of them had it: I was the only one who didn't. So I reluctantly went through the KYC flow just to pay them. WOW. I now get what the buzz is about. It is SUCH a great product...

Effect: Effect replaces most one-off libraries with a unified standard library and gives you new superpowers when building apps with TypeScript including: ◆ Type-safe error handling ◆ Better composability & code reuse ◆ Built-in observability (e.g. via Open Telemetry) Effect gives me confidence to make (large) changes to my code without breaking my app while providing the best DX I've ever experienced in TypeScript. It takes a bit to get used to it but it's well worth it to learn (similar to how React was a bit different initially). This video is a good starting point: youtube.com/watch?v=SloZE4i4… Website: effect.website

My latest @ReactAdvanced talk about lessons learned as Senior Eng and Tech Lead now available on YT! youtube.com/watch?v=SwRSmdIc…. Quite non-technical, so that was an interesting change :)
Code is perishable… 🥬 Code doesn’t have to be perfect 💯 It MUST be tested though 🧪 Thanks @mweststrate for such a great talk.

There's so much debate about how to write CSS and which tooling should be used, but to me the end goal is to hide it behind a higher-level component API that provides an opinionated subset of styles designed to match your brand.

WOW. When at Uber, my team stopped writing + maintaining end-to-end tests because it took forever to write them, and then later they broke. Incredible how quick it is to iterate with Maestro. Building a complex end-to-end test in 15 minutes: Love @mobile__dev
