This is written for the context of content- & business strategy, but I definitely thought about it more since the pandemic. We're craving for certainty in our strategies, but data is never complete. Strategies are choices – for better or worse.

I also have to thank @TheodoraPetkova for helping me level-up my writing during her workshop @ContentGraz, and for taking the time to give me thoughtful feedback on this particular article! 💙

I'm in love with @niviachanta's Changeletter, a sustainability newsletter for busy people 🌱 This month's topic was the ecological impact of our diet & how to do just a little better. No guilt-tripping – just fun, food (for thought) & actionable tidbits! soapboxproject.org/changelet…

This sounds like it's more about selling stuff, but it's how you build good stuff as well 👇
The two skills of modern business: Storytelling and spreadsheets. Know the numbers. Craft the narrative.

Playing around with @placidapp no-code integrations – endless possibilities for automated images! 🤯 I created a short demo of how to tweet a generated image with @zapier every time you publish a @webflow post: youtube.com/watch?v=MTW3KCTu… We’re looking for no-code testers. DM me 😎

If there's any software that's worth the money, it's placid.app. At Starter Story we use the API to generate hundreds of automated designs a day and share them across IG, Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and for social sharing images. Incredibly powerful.
Replying to @arminulrich
.@thepatwalls is tirelessly experimenting with new templates and creates TONS of images for Pinterest, Instagram and Open Graph for @starter_story 🤖 I always find myself wanting to click on them to read the articles!

Design automation is going to save us all a lot of time in the future 🤖 Robots can generate thousands of image assets for us in minutes if we define some basic rules & branding. We can then use our time to do more meaningful tasks than creating *yet another* Pinterest image 🥱

If you're reading about 2019-accomplishments by others and are disappointed with yours, remember: 1) They're sharing their showreel (even if they share struggles) 2) You've probably been moving your own goalposts Give yourself credit!

I took my own public goals dashboard offline after a few months as it stressed me out. Revisiting it, I saw that I actually reached many of those goals (even my workout goal, which is unbelievable if you know me). I didn't even realize! Apparently, we're all stupid like that 🤷‍♀️

We just deployed a major Placid.app version update! 💼 We switched to a project-focused system and migrated all existing users and sites into that! A significant milestone which allows us now to easily extend the systems in which you can plug Placid in the future!

(1/4) I remembered this model I created 3 or 4 years ago. It uses the zones of interpersonal distance (proxemics) to describe how close we perceive content in our digital space. I used it to explain why we have to be careful with chatbots. Messaging = intimate.

(3/4) Communication gets more "user"-driven the more intimate it is. I'm baffled at how this keeps getting ignored bc everyone gets over-excited about saving money & the thought that boTs wiLL rEpLacE cUsTomeR sErVice!

(4/4) I love automation, I really do. But bots apparently often get sold as a magical solution by people who may understand the tech, but not the implications of conversational communication.
