save your ink, with all respect, you are arguing against the record books, not against fans online. Ronaldo was a midfielder. That is how he started, how he was developed, and how he was listed. At Sporting and at Manchester United, he played in a four four two, on the right and on the left of midfield. His job was to receive deep, beat his man, track back, help his full back, cross, create and score. That is a midfielder's job. In that era, a winger was a midfielder. The formation said so. The team sheet said so. And this is where it stops being opinion. Ronaldo finished five times in the UEFA Team of the Season as a midfielder. Five times. That is not a coincidence. That is UEFA looking at his position, his role and his duties, and placing him in midfield year after year. How can a player who was never a midfielder be voted five times as a midfielder by UEFA? Did UEFA get it wrong five times? No. They got it right because he was playing as a midfielder. He later evolved into a forward and then into the most complete striker the game has seen. But evolution does not erase origin. We watched him as a skinny kid in midfield at Old Trafford, tracking back for Gary Neville, then sprinting the length of the pitch to score, and still finishing as top scorer. Five times as a midfielder is not a coincidence. It is a document. It is proof. It is history.
I know Iโ€™ll end up writing about this properly one day. I keep seeing the same claim recycled online that โ€œRonaldo was a midfielder.โ€ It always surprises me. Did you guys actually watch him, or has the line just been repeated so many times that itโ€™s become accepted? I see it in arguments a lot. Ronaldo was never a midfielder and has never ever been a midfielder. In the early-to-mid 2000s, 4-4-2 was still the formation almost every team used, so wide players were routinely listed as RMF or LMF, please confirm this if you werenโ€™t born then because recently I found out I was arguing with a boy born in 2009. The word โ€œwingerโ€ was used less often than it is today. That doesnโ€™t mean those players were midfielders in the modern sense. At Man United, Ronaldo lined up on the right (and sometimes left) of a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. His job was to take on full-backs, beat them, and either cross or drive into dangerous areas. Crossing was more common then. He has always been an attacking wide player from the start. He was not a midfielder sitting deeper and recycling possession or dictating play, he has never been, why do yo guys push lies and all of a sudden people now use that in arguments that Ronaldo was once a midfielder. Calling him a midfielder because of how team sheets were written in the 4-4-2 era is mostly a semantic argument. By todayโ€™s positional language, he was a winger. The distinction matters when people try to use โ€œhe was a midfielderโ€ as a way to downplay his goalscoring numbers from those seasons or to reframe his career. He was a wide attacker who later evolved into a more central forward. The formation labels of the era donโ€™t change what he was actually doing on the pitch If this is what you mean by wide midfielder in your tweet, then I totally agree with you brother, but I have seen this term used in a way that tells a story about Ronaldo being an outright midfielder, he was never ever one. If anyone has spent large parts of games as a midfielder/playmaker, itโ€™s Messi. I have put a video of Messi in the 2011 Champions League final. I can dare you to show me footage from that era till date where Ronaldo consistently occupied midfield positions like that for sustained periods, not just in transition. Meanwhile, I can show you 2026 Messi still doing what you can see in that 2011 video. Frame 2 in comments is typical of where Messi has operated for most of his career (up to the 2026 World Cup). He has spent long stretches deeper, linking play and creating, yet still averages more goals than Ronaldo. Messi has played 100s of games as the primary creator. He has often been the sole playmaker in his teams, combining chance creation with goalscoring. He was winning top-scorer awards while winning playmaker awards but yeah, you still prefer Ronaldo to him and now youโ€™re killing Haaland. Ronaldo has a strong assist record, but he has never been a true playmaker who dictates tempo or sustains high chance-creation numbers the way Messi has. Theyโ€™re not the same profile. Same way Kane and Haaland are different. Ronaldoโ€™s game also shifted early at Real Madrid. By his second season (2010/11), the dribbles dropped as he prioritised goals and efficiency. You know how crazy Ronaldo is about numbers. Frame 3 in comments shows his dribbles per game in a season, you can clearly see the volume kept falling as the years went on. He became more of a pure goalscorer/poacher which is fine. My point is if you prefer Kane to Haaland, and criticising Haaland, why then do you prefer Messi to Ronaldo. Messi that does EVERYTHING for 20 years, he did not sacrifice any part of his game to focus on one part, so why? However, to be fair to many of you, it was the old version you guys fell in love with, let me hear your thoughts though.

I donโ€™t believe thereโ€™s such a thing as true love isnโ€™t meant for me. That belief comes from having your heart and trust broken by multiple people youโ€™ve encountered along the way. The inability to receive or give love has less to do with the people we meet and more to do with how much weโ€™ve healed, how we see ourselves, and whether weโ€™ve learned to give ourselves the same love we so desperately desire from others. A lot of people build defensive walls around themselves, carrying emotional wounds and unresolved trauma throughout their lives. They become so accustomed to protecting themselves that they struggle to recognise or embrace genuine affection when it comes their way. The truth is, love is not reserved for a select few. It exists for everyone, in different forms, at different stages of life. What we need isnโ€™t to give up on love but to heal enough to experience it differently.

Obidi who is in her 30s claimed that women of her generation didn't have access to education. This young lady asked, 'How so, when my grandmother was a teacher?' Instead of answering her, Nigerian feminists have resorted to condescending remarks like, 'You will learn,' 'You are just a child,' 'You will grow up,' 'Experience will teach you,' and 'Men will show you shege.' Are you people mentally unstable? She asked a straightforward question, answer her. โ€‹I have always maintained that what Western feminists fought for is what Nigerian women already possessed by default. The issue is that we do not know our history. There was never a point in time when Nigerian women lacked the right to own property, land, or businesses. Even when restrictions existed in education, it was because it was controlled by the colonial authorities. The moment Africans reclaimed control, education became open and accessible to all. โ€‹Take the Aba Women's War of 1929: it happened because the colonizers tried to overtax women. You don't tax people who don't own property. When colonizers arrived in Africa, women already owned land, controlled trade, and ran businesses. So what exactly did feminism do for Nigeria? If anything, Africans should be saying, 'You had to adopt feminism just to gain the rights we always had.' โ€‹Was our culture perfect? No, it needed refining, just like every other culture. Even the Western world was barbaric at various points in history before refining its practices over time. Someone should actually answer this young girl instead of projecting their own baggage onto her.

This is a Reminder to all Men to ensure You choose Yourself 1st. Remember, If she moves like a Whoore, talks like a Whoore, She is One. Those Women do not Change even in Marriage. Do not Marry them. If you make the Mistake of Marrying them, You will Cry in that marriage. This is what Ime Uko was doing while She was dating Black Mike and expected him to marry her. Till date, she is still beginning him to marry her. Kudos to black Mike for refusing to Marry Her. To all her Mentees, Go and ask IME UKO and ESSIEN UDOETE how e come be now? Women, do not allow this woman deceive you. Being a Virtuous Woman is still the best way to Go! You were not created for Sleep hia, Sleep dia. It is foolishness to keep two men in the name of Dating a Married Man and Keeping a Serious Boyfriend. You are very likely going to loose both like it happened to Ime Uko. If your serious boyfriend finds out that you are dating a Married Man, He is very likely going to leave you. Get a Job, learn a skill and make lots of money. A Man should not be your Source of Income Discipline Yourself and do not take this advice. Thank you for Reading. Drops the Mic! โ€“ at Golden Glades, FL
One thing most women have made peace with is that the man they are dating or married to will definitely cheat. Itโ€™s only a man who has self discipline that wonโ€™t easily cheat, Most women already understand that they will likely not be enough for him, so they accept it and move on. In this video, this lady is teaching women how to date married men. I will say this again: any girl whoโ€™s dating a married man and claims itโ€™s because she loves him is lying to herself; sheโ€™s just dating him because of what sheโ€™s getting or will get from him.

Yeah, this oneโ€™s pretty blunt. Sheโ€™s basically saying a lot of women treat money as independence and leverage while a lot of men treat it as the ability to provide, and then both sides get pissed when the other doesnโ€™t play along. The part about her wanting equality and someone taller, richer, and more successful than her hits on a real double standard a lot of guys notice, and the โ€œI climbed the ladder and now the dating pool sucksโ€ complaint is something you hear constantly. At the same time it paints with a really wide brush. Not every high-earning woman thinks marriage is a trap or that depending on a man is humiliating, and plenty of guys are just as status-obsessed or checked out. The core observation that different incentives and expectations are making pairing up harder for a lot of people, tracks with what a lot of folks are seeing, but the delivery is pure โ€œthis is why dating is cookedโ€ content.

There is something extraordinary about a woman. Her presence, love, nurturing spirit, and ability to transform the ordinary into something meaningful make life more beautiful. A good woman doesnโ€™t just share a manโ€™s life; she adds depth, warmth, purpose, and meaning to it.

I don't think many Nigerians understand what PBAT and his team pulled with the Naira. Not only did they stabilise the Naira around its real value, we also grew our trade balance surplus and grew our reserves from about $4bn to over $50bn! Somehow we have those that claim PBAT has "failed." It's ridiculous.
If you think your investment decisions are bad... ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท Turkey has sold $36 billion in gold and foreign reserves this year to protect its currency, the Lira. And the Lira chart looks like this.
