Today was my last day being unemployed. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend there. I couldn't be more thankful for the time I spent and the connections I made. Will be taking some time off as I prepare for my next thing. I'll share more soon :)

made a Mac app that moves the cursor with hand gestures in front of the camera. It works, but my arm died after 2 takes of this video :)
36
no network code at all, frames never leave the Mac
2
the M4 camera shows up as two cameras, main and Desk View. Midair runs both, so your hand can go down to the desk and the cursor keeps going. Still experimental
29
macOS doesn't let apps control camera exposure, so in the dark Midair lights your hand with bright strips along the screen edges
the cursor follows the knuckles instead of the fingertip, otherwise every pinch would knock it off the button
10
Vision finds the hand in 6.6 ms on M4 Pro, and between frames the cursor glides on every tick of the 120 Hz display
38
built-in MacBook camera tops out at 30 fps, so up to 33 ms goes just to waiting for a frame. An iPhone through Continuity Camera gives 60 fps
2
I have published one interesting project today. Will try to film a video tomorrow

Anthropic wants to restrict people's freedom, impose censorship, and decide what's acceptable and what's not, all in an era of competition and open models. Imagine what happens once they're financially stable and open models get restricted.
We’ve trained Claude to flag potential misuse in conversations, a technique we call self-assessment. Right after it responds, Claude gives a preliminary safety assessment of the conversation. Since we began using self-assessment in June, it has surfaced misuse that our other safeguards weren’t designed to catch. Because Claude has already read the conversation, self-assessment is very efficient. And unlike classifiers, which target a discrete set of harms, it draws on Claude’s own judgment, so it gets more accurate as our models improve. I am deeply concerned by @AnthropicAI's strict KYC policy that automatically bans individuals holding a Russian passport, regardless of their personal views, location, or intentions. (1/2)

Who redesigned claude desktop app should be fired

I hope that Anthropic and OpenAI will go bankrupt because what is happening is not honest. They give us the REAL inteligence and than for economy they nerf models and cut usage limits. This is not serious for any type of real job.
