22 episode seasons. Filler episodes about nothing. Thank you, Quinta for bringing back real television. #AbbottElementary
Things that should be illegal in the Nigerian workplace but have somehow been normalized.
As we are all moving mad 🧵
Expecting employees to use their personal laptops, data and electricity for work without reimbursement.
Please, should we also bring our own office building?
Asking a photographer to cover an entire event and offering to tag them on Instagram as payment.
Can they use the tags to pay their electricity bill?
Expecting a social media manager to increase sales with a ₦0 advertising budget.
Please, let us also turn water into wine while we're at it.
Calling employees on their day off because “it will only take five minutes.”
Five minutes that somehow require a PowerPoint presentation and three follow-up calls.
Asking someone earning ₦100k to have a growth mindset when transport alone is fighting for its life.
What exactly is growing? definitely not my income
Calling a meeting at 4:45 PM when closing time is 5PM.
Because apparently, you don’t have a life asides work.
Making employees feel guilty for using their annual leave.
Sorry, when exactly are we supposed to rest?
Asking employees to work overtime without overtime pay.
Is this a charity organisation? I don’t get this level of madness
Expecting people to be grateful for employment instead of paying them what their labour is worth.
If you are in the creative space sorry o cause this is the starter pack for wickedness
Saying “we will review your salary after probation” and pretending the conversation never happened.
We are really suffering in this country o
Asking employees to contribute money for every birthday, wedding, baby shower and farewell.
Is this an office or a cooperative society? Abeg abeg
“Salary is competitive” but nobody wants to mention the so called salary.
Competitive with what? Poverty?
