Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer.
Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war.
To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha.
The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people.
And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final.
We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it.
Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made.
They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making.
One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.
No answer for the first question is actually a bit worrisome.
May Allah protect this boy and his family but we can't expect any good from these suars, after such questions.
These were all the questions asked by him. Now i couldn't find the video but these questions are worth mentioning
First question: Sir! My first question is that After asking a question I won’t be picked up / detained somewhere will i ?
Answer: Nothing was said about this.
Second question: You had said that these resources were given to you in your dowry? We are the owners of this land, and you are its protectors. Therefore do not consider yourself the owner and us the slaves.
Answer: These resources belong to the nation. Why should political people become their contractors? Politics should not be done over the nation’s resources.
Third question: You say that i or the army has nothing to do with politics, yet you called Imran Khan a mental patient, Manzoor Pashteen a traitor, and Mah Rang an Indian agent.
Answer: (No proper or direct answer was given to this question.)
Fourth question: On what basis does Maryam Nawaz say that Punjab faces less threat from the neighboring country and more from the neighboring province?
Answer: (No clear answer was found on this question either.)
Fifth question: Where there are resources, why are there problems…?
Answer: The discussion started from the point that Saudi Arabia also has resources and there is terrorism there.
(At this) He directly asked: “Sir! You are the DG ISPR of Pakistan not of Saudi Arabia.”
After that, his question was twisted and misrepresented, and no proper answer was given.
Sixth question: Who martyred Maulana Khan Zeb and Rehan Zeb, and why?
Answer: It was ignored as if they hadn’t even heard it. Even though the young people in the entire hall were making noise that the last question should be answered, nothing was said.

Three women in their seventies have been in a Lahore jail since 21 September 2026. No charge. No trial.
One of them is my mother, @DrUzma_KhanPK. The others are her sisters, @Aleema_KhanPK and @Noreen_KhanPK. Their brother, former Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI, has been in prison since August 2023.
The facts:
– The sisters are held in Kot Lakhpat Jail under Section 3 of the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960, which allows officials to detain a person to prevent a threat to public order, without charge or trial. Their orders run 30 days at a time and can be renewed.
– The Punjab home secretary's report to the Lahore High Court says they were detained ahead of PTI's planned protests.
– Their detention was extended on 7 October. The family learned of it in court on 26 October.
– On 28 October, @Noreen_KhanPK was moved to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. The family was not told.
– For three years, they visited their brother at Adiala jail every Tuesday and carried his words to the public. Now they are held themselves.
– In 2024, the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention found Imran Khan's detention arbitrary and called for his immediate release. He remains in prison.
Release Imran Khan. Release his sisters.

"Perceived corruption of PML N and PPP"
Smoker's corner: "PTI’s popularity was methodically cultivated, mainly by the military establishment. Indeed, the party effectively mobilised a real sense of grievance among urban middle-class voters who were exhausted by the perceived ‘corruption’ of traditional parties such as the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)."

In January 1965, Fatima Jinnah – sister of Pakistan's founder, Madar-e-Millat – stood for elections against Field Marshal Ayub Khan.
The regime's answer was to brand her pro-Indian and pro-American. The public was barred from the official campaign meetings where she might have won them over.
History settled the question. She is remembered as the Mother of the Nation.
The law holding my mother @DrUzma_KhanPK and my aunts @Aleema_KhanPK and @Noreen_KhanPK today, the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, was issued in 1960 – under Ayub Khan.
Sixty-one years on, the sisters of another popular leader are held without charge under this law.
Charge them or release them.

There is no such thing as a short, 3-4 day military operation—if we strike Iran, they will respond. We have consistently underestimated the most basic reality: the enemy gets a vote.
There is no military option that will persuade Iran to accept the U.S.’s terms for a deal—after 8 months of failing to restore order to the chaos it caused, the administration knows this— so what is the purpose of more strikes?
If we strike Iran by targeting more of their leaders and/or energy infrastructure, Iran will retaliate by striking Gulf energy infrastructure & U.S. forces in the region. More American troops will needlessly die, & our energy prices will continue to skyrocket.
Iran’s allies & proxies—like the Houthis, Iraqi militias, & possibly Bahraini groups—will attack Saudi energy infrastructure, the BAM/Suez, & will potentially attack the governments of Kuwait & Bahrain. We’re already unable to help the Saudis deter the Houthis—if we engage in kinetic combat against Iran, we’ll be even more incapable of assisting our already-weakened allies.
More strikes won’t change the game. Walking away & declaring victory before Tuesday sets a positive tone for the elections & resets the parameters for negotiations with Iran.
President Trump can avoid the escalation trap by walking away now, before the fog of war envelops the rest of his presidency.
Duh!
We all know how that man child with an inflated ego thinks. No need to ask an US official 🙄
🚨One U.S. official said Trump might be more inclined to order a major military operation if Republicans lose badly in the midterms.
🚨"If he feels embarrassed or disenfranchised he will do something bold. That's what everyone are telling the Iranians. Their best shot to get a deal is right now," the official said

With LNG prices for asia being record high. Pakistan will likely not be able to buy spot replacement. With winter here you can expect more load shedding across Pakistan.

30 April 1977, Buenos Aires. A handful of mothers whose children had been taken by Argentina's military junta gathered in the Plaza de Mayo to ask one question: where are they?
Gatherings of more than three people were banned, so they walked in pairs, arm in arm. They came back every Thursday. The junta called them "las locas" – the madwomen. That December, one of their founders, Azucena Villaflor, was abducted and never came home.
They kept walking. In 1983 the junta fell. In 1985 its leaders stood trial.
For three years, ever since their brother @ImranKhanPTI was jailed, my mother @DrUzma_KhanPK and my aunts @Aleema_KhanPK and @Noreen_KhanPK went to Adiala jail every Tuesday to ask to see him. Since 21 September they have been held themselves, without charge.
The generals in Buenos Aires underestimated women who kept showing up. The generals in Pakistan keep underestimating Pakistani women.
Charge them or release them.
