Conwayโs Game of Life has gliders that travel at 45ยฐ and spaceships that move horizontally or vertically. Patterns that travel at other angles are called โoblique spaceships.โ
By extending rule-switching cellular automata, Iโve discovered a large number of new oblique spaceship structures - with diverse shapes and directions, from nearly horizontal to almost 45ยฐ.

Funnily enough - during DUSK's development, the New Blood team were debating what immersive sims were in a meeting, so David and Dave invited me to come in to talk about it.
Then I never left their Discord and quietly joined the studio.
