NPB being surprised that players in Japan want to play and compete at the highest level and maximize potential profits will forever amaze me, the goal is Major League Baseball for every player with professional potential Some will fail and some won’t, instead of being surprised by it or feeling insulted and blackballing them upon return, embrace it and embrace them, it’s better for your league in the long run

The telecast having no K-Zone live and then added on the replay is so much better to watch honestly

When he was signed we had an expanded minor league system The roster spot he got then doesn’t exist now, so he wouldn’t have a spot if he was in this years class Cutting down the minor league system is not good Just sayin
Ray Kerr was working at a 7-Eleven and a movie theater, thinking his baseball career was over. Then he got signed for $2,000 and spent seven seasons in the minors. He just dominated the Phillies over 3.1 scoreless in his first MLB postseason game.

Unreal
Absolutely insane: Rookie manager Craig Albernaz dismisses advice from Hall of Famer and all-time franchise icon Jim Palmer

“The Eck” tf It’s just Eck lol
Dan Quisenberry didn't throw hard, so in 1980 he dropped his arm down and started throwing submarine, a delivery he learned from Pittsburgh's Kent Tekulve. He led the American League in saves five times after that. His 45 in 1983 set the single season record, and it held until Dave Righetti got 46 in 1986. Everybody in Kansas City called him Quiz. He retired in 1990 with 244 saves, fifth most in history at the time. Five saves titles out of a delivery most pitching coaches would have tried to fix.

Why is this controversial It’s true, you have to win the day, the inning, or the at-bat What may work for you over 162 doesn’t necessarily get you the one singular out or one hit you need in October It’s the reason teams go back to small ball at times in October

Acuna taking third there was bigger than meets the eye Potentially taking away the dirt ball and Marty O gets a pitch to hit

🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ you know how “lucky” you’d have to be for that to be true
A long time baseball friend told me yesterday that a #nerd in the organization he worked for told him that Tony Gwynn was a really lucky hitter! I’m not joking! #shegone

Everyone is going to say “yeah let’s throw our aces in relief on their side days” Until their aces start blowing out at an even higher clip… Trust me everyone around the game has thought about this, for a long time There’s a reason teams haven’t been doing it

Game is shifting, an era is coming to a close
A lot of OGs are retiring. - Laz Diaz’s last day behind the plate - JV’s Pitching until his arm falls off - Kirby Yates just got yanked for likely the last time in his career - Scherzer isn’t too far behind

Didn’t have this on my bingo card😂😂 Pass isn’t cheating btw
Just played @Broddddd3 in MLB and beat him bad. Sucks to see such a sore loser in his position. I’ve been in this community for literal years and have never once been accused of cheating. He started sending voice messages to prove it was him and flex his earnings 😂😂

Well, since crossing your feet is stupid Good on Ichiro for pushing back on it honestly
Ichiro, coaching high schoolers, pushes back on conventional Japanese lead: sidestep off first, then cross trail foot behind to gain ground. His take — that cross-behind is wasted motion and leaves you tangled on a pickoff. He wants a lead you react from, not one you rehearse.

Very true
