Most prisoners in #Haiti have never seen a judge or been officially charged with a crime. They languish in disease and starvation. The real tragedy most have forgotten or choose to ignore is that a real prison reform movement was destroyed by the US-backed 2004 coup. This was followed up with promises by the US, Canada and France to improve conditions, and despite their investments of over an estimated US $50mil and the work of countless foreign NGOs, this is where we are today.

Hind Rajab's family was killed in front of her. Medics sent to save her were killed. She was killed. Now, months later, her father has been killed — without seeing any accountability.

The father of Hind Rajab, the 6-year old Palestinian girl who was killed by Israeli forces in a car in Gaza in January, was recently killed, according to journalist Ashraf Mashharawi who spoke recently to Hind’s mom.
Hind’s story was told in the recent Al Jazeera English documentary The Night Won’t End. Three of Hind’s cousins, her aunt and uncle were also killed in the January attack. Two Palestinian paramedics who tried to rescue her were also killed when they arrived at the scene to rescue her despite their route being coordinated with Israeli officials.
Mashharawi told me Hind’s mother received a text message that her husband had been killed in an Israeli attack. The family was separated as a result of the Israeli siege and had been unable to communicate for days.

It’s incredible, Biden makes it sound like the US has been working tirelessly to stop Palestinian suffering and end the war, when, in reality, the US blocked every international effort for a ceasefire, aided Palestinian suffering and denied Israel’s war crimes. Truly delusional.

'why are you only sensitive to this war?' Easy: it's not a war. It's at least three countries in the top ten of most powerful militaries in the world bombing the crap out of an overpopulated strip of land smaller than the city of London. Hamas poses no existential threat to Israel whatsoever. If what Israel claims is true and Hamas wanted Israel to attack and kill many children for social media purposes then Israel is trully motherfuckingly dumb and demonically evil to step right into that trap.
