One of the greatest calamities of modern-day online da‘wah is the absence of three essentials:
1. Guidance from scholars and students of knowledge.
2. Humility in returning to the people of knowledge.
3. Taqwā and wara‘ in refraining from speaking without knowledge.

ʿUbayd ibn ʿUmayr narrated that Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī sought permission to enter upon ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, but he was not given permission, as though ʿUmar was busy. So Abū Mūsā left. When ʿUmar had finished, he said, "Did I not hear the voice of ʿAbdullāh ibn Qays? Let him in." They told him, "He has already left." So ʿUmar called him back and (Abū Mūsā) said, "We used to be instructed to do that."
ʿUmar said, "Bring me evidence for that." So Abū Mūsā went to the gathering of the Anṣār and asked them. They said, "No one will testify to this for you except the youngest among us, Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī." So he took Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī with him.
ʿUmar said, "Was this matter from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) hidden from me? My trading in the marketplaces kept me occupied." [Bukhari & Muslim]

For example Ibn Taymiyyah mentions the following in this book:
"The First Reason: That the Ḥadīth may not have reached him. Whoever the Ḥadīth has not reached is not required to know what it entails ... This reason is the predominant explanation for most of the statements found from the Salaf that appear to contradict some of the Ḥadīths. For no one among the ummah had complete knowledge of all the Ḥadīths of the Messenger of Allāh (peace be upon him) ... As for one person having knowledge of all the Ḥadīths of the Messenger of Allah, this can never be claimed."

👉 This is a common statement which is heavily misused by some extremist Salafīs/Ahl-e-Ḥadīth against following the Madhhabs of the 4 Imāms. The 4 Imāms became Imāms because of their extensive knowledge in all sciences, including the science of Ḥadīth in the first place. And now every Tom, Dick and Harry who reads 2 posts on Instagram starts blaming them for not knowing Aḥādīth.
💭 This is why we need to stick to following one of the four Madhāhib, which have been tried, tested, and verified for 1400 years by thousands of scholars of their respective Madhhab!

Abdullah ibn Ubayy, the head of the hypocrites, wasn’t man enough to face the Prophet ﷺ directly, so he resorted to attacking his wife, the Mother of the Believers, Aisha.
Those today who attack the wives of du‘at they disagree with are upon the Sunnah of Ibn Ubayy.

Using information about the wife or family members of a person you disagree with in order to attack that person is one of the lowest forms of behavior. Whether the person you disagree with is a deviant, an opponent in da‘wah, or even a non-Muslim, dragging his wife or family members into the dispute shows a complete lack of manhood, religion, integrity, and basic decency.
I have personally come across private information concerning the wives and family members of people I disagree with; people who have treated me unjustly in every way, lied about me, and slandered me. Yet I have never used that information against them. I immediately shut it down, delete it, and refuse to look into it any further. That is simply not how we disagree with people.
If you believe someone is upon falsehood, refute his falsehood. If he makes an error, address his error. His wife, children, and family members have nothing to do with your disagreement with him.
Unfortunately, some of these deviants will attack a person they disagree with unjustly and cross every boundary simply because of that disagreement.
May Allah curse those who engage in such oppression and persist in it, and may Allah protect us from becoming like them.

Shaykh al-Albānī would often collect discarded scraps of paper from the streets to use for his ḥadīth notes. He especially searched for used wedding invitations, envelopes, flyers, and other papers that still had blank space suitable for writing.
When these were not sufficient, he would even visit rubbish dumps to buy bundles of discarded paper, taking them home to sort through and use for his studies.
His students related that some of the earliest drafts of his works, including portions of Silsilat al-Aḥādīth al-Ḍaʿīfah (The Weak Hadith Series), were written on the backs of discarded household packaging, such as gift wrap, sugar wrappers, and rice packaging.
Because he could not afford lined notebooks, he devised his own method of ruling the pages: he would dip a length of thread in ink, stretch it tightly across the paper, then snap it against the surface to leave perfectly straight guide lines for neat writing.

Question for the Ashʿarīs Jahmīs
There are hundreds of verses in the Qurʾān and hundreds of authentic Ḥadīths that speak about Allāh's Names and Attributes.
So why is that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not, even in a single Ḥadīth—not even once—warn the Companions by saying: 'Beware! Do not understand these texts according to their apparent meaning, for if you do so, you will liken Allāh to His creation and thus fall into disbelief?!'
