1/7 Your $20 AI plan may be the cheapest compute you will ever buy. Claude Pro and ChatGPT Plus each cost $20 a month. The same work through their APIs is billed per token, and for heavy users the gap is huge. A thread on why that is, and what the $20 is really for.

My Apple Developer enrollment has been blocked since June 2 ("Unable to Continue", then a template refusal on Aug 20 with no reason). Emails get no reply and phone support is unavailable. I can share the case details privately. Can someone route this to the enrollment team? @AppleSupport

Today my Apple Account was locked "for security reasons" and then recovered, and enrollment is still blocked. A second Apple Account in my own name was refused twice: "Your account cannot be created at this time." I only want a written reason and a fair review.

Update @AppleSupport @Apple: Apple gives no reason through any channel, so I have sent a formal notice before legal action (15 days to state the reason and a fix) and filed a grievance with India's Department of Consumer Affairs. I only want a written reason and a fair review.

A trending headline says the iPhone Duo foldable is getting mixed reviews ahead of launch. What would a foldable need to do before you give up a regular slab phone?

A trending headline says major sites are blocking AI agents from booking flights and managing accounts. If an agent acts for a real person, should sites verify that person instead of blocking?

The Z5 on projector OS is a poor fit. It isn't tuned for lightweight use, and on my projector it feels far too heavy. Is it the OS or the hardware?

A trending headline says Accenture caps Claude spend at $29 a month per employee. That is a consumer plan's price used as a company budget. Will capped seats change how people use AI at work?

6/7 Why sell it so cheap? Habit. People who learn on a $20 plan bring the tool to work. And work is priced differently: Anthropic's consumer terms cover individuals, API keys fall under its commercial terms, and Claude Enterprise is $20 a seat plus usage billed at API rates.

7/7 So the $20 plan is an on-ramp, not a business license. Running a product or a team on a personal plan breaks the terms and the economics. Do you think these prices survive once the growth phase ends?

A small Android thing: swipe up from the bottom gesture bar to go Home and the list under your finger can scroll just as you leave. Our beta apps now ignore swipes that start in that strip, and taps still work. Shouldn't Android guard against this itself?

A trending headline says DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is now free on OpenCode. When strong models cost nothing, what do developers compete on?
