NCEPOD is recruiting senior clinicians in current clinical practice to review the care of patients with acute sigmoid volvulus, from initial presentation through to discharge. The findings will inform a national report and recommendations to improve care.
Reviewers will attend training on 8th October or 19th November in London. They will then join at least 4 case review meetings, online or in person, over approx 6 months. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Applications are welcome from a wide range of specialties, including surgery, acute and emergency medicine, anaesthesia, gastroenterology, critical care, radiology, geriatrics and nursing.
Apply by 30 September 2026 by emailing a short CV to [email protected].
