Setanyahu just needs to leave first.
The bad news keeps piling up. What happened in America last night is a catastrophe. Take AIPAC’s worst nightmares, double them, and you still don’t get close.
The only consolation is that Abdul El-Sayed won his Senate seat by a smaller margin than expected. Will the Democrats learn that anti-Israel politics and antisemitism cost you votes? I doubt it. And a great many Jews voted for him anyway.
It’s getting worse. First the Democrats blamed Israel for America’s troubles: grocery prices, America’s slipping standing, the war with Iran.
Now, with JD Vance’s tweet and Donald Trump Jr.’s share, the Republicans are blaming Israel for the Republican Party’s troubles. Vance’s message: we stuck too close to Israel.
That is far more dangerous. Israel now faces its biggest challenge in Washington since at least the 1975 “reassessment,” when Ford and Kissinger froze arms deals to pressure Jerusalem.
There’s only one answer I know of: a national unity government. Flirting with a new election, a minority government propped up by the Arab parties, or a deal with the Haredim would be a grave mistake.

Nigerians!
Please do it for the woman that pretended to be mad and hid her daughter in a ditch so she won’t be taken, do it for Pelumi Onifade, the victims of EndSARS massacre, the victims of Owo massacre, our brothers and sisters in the North that we don’t even get to hear of

(PS) And ditto with Florida. Keeping in mind the wins tonight in Georgia and North Carolina and South Carolina and Texas, this really could have been almost a wholesale retaking of the South by the Democratic Party. It turns out that the only error was thinking too small(!)

For the love of all that is good, Democrats, do not squander this. The voters have given you a mandate. Use it. Be the party of working people. Be the anti-war party. Be the anti-corruption party. Be the party that ignores the Senate Parliamentarian. We cannot go back to business as usual.

I pray Democrats understand the responsibility that comes with tonight.

If Americans don’t reject Trump in today’s vote then they are a Country as soulless and as immoral and as sociopathic and wicked as Trump himself.

Christianity doesn't need political power to survive. It needs people who actually practice what Jesus preached.

The Nigerian authorities must immediately and unconditionally release Imran Usman Wakili, who has been arbitrarily detained over social media posts alleging low turnout at the presidential campaign flag-off of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kaduna State. He was also targeted for his staunch support for former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai — who is also unlawfully detained for over 260 days.
His detention is unlawful and shows the Nigerian government’s complete disdain for due process.
Imran was arrested after security operatives tracked him to his residence in an estate in Karu on the outskirts of Abuja on 29 October. Heavily armed contingent of policemen invaded the estate Imran resides at about 4:30 p.m and asked security personnel to direct them to Mr Wakili’s apartment. Upon realizing Imran was not at home when they arrived, they arrested his younger brother, who lives with him, and the estate manager.
Right now, Imran is at the risk of ill-treatment, as he had been denied access to family and lawyer in utter disregard for the rule of law. Clearly, Imran is being punished for his critical and dissenting posts on social media. Imran Wakili did not commit any crime, and his unlawful detention shows abuse of power. It is perfectly within his right to express critical opinion on any matter of public interest.
Detaining Imran Wakili solely for exercising his right to freedom of expression is unacceptable and shows contempt for the rule of law. Under international human rights law, the mere fact that a social media post is considered unpalatable by those in power or any public figure is not sufficient to justify arbitrary detention by the police.
The government of President Bola Tinubu must end these relentless attacks on human rights.

Let it be on record that a motion was raised in the National Assembly to summon the INEC chairman to explain how its database was compromised with millions of AI-generated voters. The APC wing in the Assembly blocked the motion.
This country is overripe to restart afresh.
