Well spotted, and thank you for recognizing the hard work of the team, @twostraws! JSON should be easier to manage in source control, more readable for humans, and easier for agents to work with. Exciting times for Xcode.
I don't think I ever swear on social media, but this one is worth it: holy shit! A JSON-based project format for Xcode! 🤯
ALT Xcode now supports a JSON-based project format (.xcproj) that’s more readable, merge-friendly, and easier for coding agents to edit. Enable it in the file inspector. Projects using .xcproj also open in earlier versions of Xcode 27.

There’s been a lot going on & I’m looking for new work in the summer. I would love to be an intern, as I want to start a masters in winter. My Bachelors will be finish in June, so I am looking for something after that!
I want to work with Swift, that’s my only “requirement”.

The word “benign” is often used to describe low-grade brain tumours (grades 1 or 2), but it doesn’t tell the whole story. Even though they tend to grow more slowly, low-grade brain tumours can still be serious and have a huge impact on life.
“Benign” doesn’t mean “Fine.”
