Today I started as an Assistant Professor at @WarwickPhysics! I'll be researching the intersection between polaritons and perovskites, building on the great experiences I had at @TheWeichmanLab & @GroupHerz. Watch this space for news and opportunities as I start with @WarwickTHz!

Join us! There is a fully-funded PhD studentship in my group working on our levitated microdiamond experiment towards (eventually) a test of the quantum nature of gravity. I will also soon be advertising a 3-year postdoc job on this project. warwick.ac.uk/gavinmorley/va…

I'm very happy to share my last work with @PrincetonChem, just published in @JChemPhys, in which we demonstrate the extended capabilities of our gas-phase molecular polariton platform: pubs.aip.org/aip/jcp/article…

We were able to control the polariton linewidths and per-molecule coupling strengths, and couple a CH₄ transition to multiple cavity modes at once. We also achieved gas-phase strong coupling of molecules at room temperature, lowering the entry barrier to follow-up studies!

Solar energy is a very active field that has seen great technological progress and is making a big impact as a solution to the climate crisis. Unfortunately occasionally new solar energy concepts pop-up that promise huge improvements but are physically impossible. #solarenergy
