I spent years putting aside the part of me that genuinely loved mathematics. The way math is taught in France made me hate it. So much obsession with looking smart, solving unnecessarily complicated problems, and so little interest in actually understanding things deeply. It frustrated me enough to drop out. So I became a builder instead. Shipped products, built real systems, worked with AI labs, and eventually got into reinforcement learning environments. And now I'm starting to connect the dots. Being a builder who understands math, knows how to leverage AI, and understands the power of RL environments is a fucking dangerous combination. The crazy part is that I'm finally getting back into research. Not just shipping products, but actually exploring new ideas, experimenting, and trying to build things that didn't seem possible before. And thank God I have Adam and Raouf with me at @qlyphsxyz. Adam is pushing the engineering forward, Raouf is handling operations and distribution, and that gives me something I haven't had in years: the freedom to go all in on research. And the deeper I go, the more I realize we're FAR beyond just building a protocol on top of some blockchain. For the first time in years, I feel like every part of my brain is working together.
