Union Minister Lalan Singh has said that Aadhaar will be replaced by voter IDs.
This was the plan all along. The SIR exercise has already removed at least 13.3 crore Indians from the electoral rolls. Now the absence of a voter ID is being floated as grounds to deny ration, housing, health insurance and guaranteed employment.
This is the larger design. First, strip people of their political voice by deleting them from the rolls. Then strip them of their welfare entitlements for not being on them.
The result: millions of Indians pushed out of both the democratic and the welfare framework, reduced to second-class citizens, denied rights that are theirs as citizens.

INTERESTING: Karnataka ‘sting’ chronology: Has Union Cabinet Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy’s alleged political plot backfired?
*First, a purported sting operation targets Siddaramaiah, one of Karnataka’s tallest OBC leaders, with allegations Bengaluru Police now say appear fabricated.
*Then Kumaraswamy accuses D.K. Shivakumar of orchestrating the sting to blackmail Siddaramaiah and force him out of office.
*The apparent result? Two Congress leaders under a cloud of suspicion, with the party’s internal fault lines exposed.
*But the investigation has taken an unexpected turn. Bengaluru Police say the allegations in the video are false and concocted. Investigators have traced its circulation to individuals linked to the JD(S) social media network. A phone allegedly used to upload the video reportedly reached an associate at Kumaraswamy’s official Delhi residence.
*Kumaraswamy denies wrongdoing, has challenged the investigation, and his personal involvement has not been established.
So the central question now is: was this an attempt to discredit Siddaramaiah and drive a wedge between him and Shivakumar? And could the investigation end up raising uncomfortable questions for the BJP-led NDA and its JD(S) ally?
An operation apparently aimed at exposing Congress divisions has now put the spotlight on the BJP-JD(S) camp in Karnataka .🙏

Mr Modi, stop lying to this nation.
You became PM because of foreign help. You remain PM because of foreign help.
Your financial system is fully controlled and supported by foreigners. Foreign social media fully backs you.
I challenge you to an open debate about this. Any stage, any time. Come if you have the guts.
You won't dare, because you are terrified of what I know about you.

The chair in which Smt. Meira Kumar sat during today’s public impeachment proceedings against the CEC was once occupied by the first Prime Minister of India, Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, the great-grandfather of Shri Rahul Gandhi and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi.
It was Nehru Ji’s chair throughout his tenure as Prime Minister. It witnessed some of the most consequential decisions in our nation’s history and carries the weight of that legacy.
Today, in that very chair, invoking the spirit of Nehru Ji, Smt. Meira Kumar, former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, pronounced Gyanesh Kumar Gupta unfit to continue as the Chief Election Commissioner of India.
Gyanesh Kumar Gupta has been rejected by the people of India. It is only a matter of time before he goes.

Business World magazine has a sensational scoop based on the internal minutes of a Committee of Secretaries on Disinvestment showing how rules were changed for the controversial privatisation of IDBI Bank which was sold to Canada based Fairfax Financial Holdings at Rs 52,878 crore ($5.55 billion) at Rs 81 per share.
The internal minutes state that the initial sealed bids from Fairfax and another entity came well below the confidentially set minimum reserve price of Rs 94.42. The Fairfax bids came at Rs 75. So what do the babus do? They pull off something unprecedented but do it openly and transparently. They move to another valuation method and ask Fairfax and another bidder (strangely not named because it was later rejected by Home Ministry for security reasons!) to give new bids. This time Fairfax bids Rs 81 per share , still well below the original reserve price of Rs. 94.42. Then Fairfax says this is the final offer and it would withdraw if not accepted. The government accepts it and also gives some relief on disputed tax claims on IDBI Bank. Tax payer also makes a hefty contribution here!
The deal goes through at Rs 81 per share(the original reserve price was Rs 94.42) and the internal note strangely gives reasons why this sale was necessary for the government at this juncture- Fiscal stress on Centre due to high energy prices, lack of FDI inflows and the currency under strain because of the global energy crises!
As per Business World report the justification for change of rules and methodology for the sale of IDBI Bank came from the General Financial Rules for sale of government physical assets but not shares. Then it cites the Railway Stores Code on auctioning scrap:
"Bids lower than the reserve prices may, however, be accepted by the Depot Officer where found expedient provided the Depot Officer doing so records his reasons in writing."
In my 40 years of journalism I have not come across such justification for privatisation.
Business World's Palak Shah must be commended for this investigation.

One daughter. One father's death.
An entire government machinery on its toes.
All because she refused to surrender.
In an era when protests turn violent,
and public property becomes a target,
one daughter chose a different path.
Bhadra Keerthi.
Fighting for justice for her father.
No violence.
No vandalism.
No destruction.
Just a grieving daughter.
Standing tall.
Refusing to kneel before the powerful.
October 25.
Kochi.
Jayabalakrishnan closed his tea shop.
He was returning home.
Perhaps dreaming of tomorrow.
Tomorrow never came.
A speeding Mercedes-Benz, alledgdly driven by a 17-year-old, struck his scooter from behind.
He died.
But the story didn't end there.
The boy's father was a judge.
Not just any judge.
An Additional District Judge, serving at the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal.
The very institution meant to compensate accident victims.
And his unlicensed teenage son was allegedly driving his Mercedes!
Did the father know?
Who gave the boy the keys?
Questions demanding answers.
The teenager was initially released.
Later, he secured juvenile bail.
And what about the father?
A guardian of the very law his family now stands accused
of violating?
Then came a daughter.
Bhadra Keerthi.
She didn't burn a bus.
She didn't attack the police.
She didn't vandalise a street.
She stood there.
Like a rock.
Demanding justice for her father.
Her voice shook the silence.
Serious charges followed.
The judge was booked.
Four police officers were suspended.
Yet she refused to surrender.
And here lies the divine irony.
Bhadra = The auspicious Devi.
Keerthi = Noble glory.
A name echoing the fierce symbol of righteousness.
Her father gave her that name.
Today, she gives it meaning.
Remember Mahishasura?
When arrogance mistakes gentleness for weakness, Devi rises.
Not to destroy the world.
But to confront its injustice.
Bhadra isn't fighting with weapons.
Her courage is her inner Trishul.
Her dignity is her Shakti.
Dear Bhadra Keerthi,
Your father sold tea.
But he raised a warrior.
He gave you life.
You are giving his name glory.
May Dharma prevail.
May justice be served.
