1984 में जो सिखों के साथ जो हुआ वो दंगे नहीं थे बल्कि एक अमानवीय नरसंहार था।
Several widows and family members of those who lost their lives in the anti-Sikh massacre of 1984 joined Lakshmi and me at our residence today to remember and pay heartfelt tribute to their departed loved ones. The horrific memories of the premeditated and preplanned killings of innocent Sikhs by mobs led by those who were then in power, remain deeply etched in their hearts. This atyachar against the Sikhs was termed as a crime against humanity by the Hon’ble Delhi HC.
The pain of losing their loved ones is something that time can never fully erase. But, it was heartening to see that many have gone on to build good and fulfilling lives with courage and resilience.
Several survivors of the massacre expressed their gratitude towards PM @narendramodi Ji who took strong measures to ensure that many perpetrators were eventually brought to justice.
We are grateful to Delhi CM Smt @gupta_rekha Ji, renowned jurist Sdr @hsphoolka Ji, MLA Sdr Tarvinder Singh Marwah Ji and Councillor Smt @yogitasinghbjp Ji for joining us. We were later joined by @LtGovDelhi Sdr @SandhuTaranjitS Ji and Delhi Minister Sdr @mssirsa Ji.
