If you’re opposed to fascism, please make sure you’re working on internalized ableism.
The link between fascism, eugenics and ableism is well documented.
Fight for disability rights. Make resistance efforts accessible. Wear a mask & stay home when sick.

Again, Toni Morrison said, “I would like my work to do two things: be as demanding and sophisticated as I want it to be, and at the same time be accessible in a sort of emotional way to lots of people, just like jazz. That’s a hard task. But that’s what I want to do.” Lock in.

Amber Thurman died following Georgia's abortion ban in 2022, less than 2 months after Dobbs. GA's maternal mortality committee did not review her case until July '24. Most states' boards have not reviewed deaths through '22, meaning we have limited data on Dobbs-related deaths.
New: At least two women in Georgia died after they couldn't access legal abortions and timely medical care in their state, ProPublica has found. This is one of their stories. propub.li/3N7xPgN

Sexual authoritarians dislike asexuality just as much as other queer identities.
That’s because their goal isn’t simply to “repress” sex—it’s also to compel heterosexual, procreation-oriented sex.
Sexual authoritarianism both represses and compels sexuality.
For me, this pride month has been a constant reminder of the prejudice prevalent within and outside of the Queer community towards bi, ace, and trans people. We need community spaces, solidarity, and collective action.
B with the T & A, always.

In response to Governor Hochul's and Mayor Adams's push to ban masks, @NYCDykeMarch has updated its policies to require masks.

ALT Masking Is Resistance Based on additional discussions with disabled and immunocompromised Dykes in the community and the committee, and in response to the recent statements of Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams supporting a ban on masks in our state, we have updated our 2024 masking policy for the march: The 2024 NYC Dyke March will be a fully masked march.
This week is my second of teaching Intro to Queer/Sexuality Studies, and the week I defend my dissertation on bipositivity among plurisexual women in the U.S. Feeling very fortunate to have these opportunities. My job is great sometimes.
