Strickland vs Imavov 2 is reportedly aimed at a Florida card in February 2027, and the two have been linked for months while contract talks drag on.
The champ already beat him once, by unanimous decision in January 2023. Imavov's best route is the grind, but Strickland defends 76 percent of takedowns, and that's the problem for him.
Nothing is official. Strickland by decision again.

Nemkov gets a first title defense and PFL hands him a guy whose big win was a second round KO of Renan Ferreira.
Sergei Bilostenniy is 15-4 and he earned this shot with that knockout. Nemkov is 20-2 and has a 65 percent takedown defense, so there's no cheap way in for him.
Bilostenniy lands one clean shot early, then spends the night learning why the belt isn't going anywhere.
Nemkov by TKO, round three.

Cerrone was supposed to make his RAF debut and now he's off the card entirely. Pettis got bumped up to the main event instead.
So a 36-17 legend just got shoved out the door while a 24-10 guy walks into a title shot he never had to earn against Cerrone.
Tsarukyan has the belt and still has Gracie in a non-title bout. He's not losing sleep over Pettis.

Van vs Kape was supposed to be the loudest title fight at flyweight, and now the bout is off.
Kape finally got the shot after all the mic work and the weight jabs from Van. Now he's the one left standing in the hallway with nothing.
The champ had a weight jab ready for him. Now he's got no opponent and no fight to sell.
Flyweight just lost its best fight.

Adrian Yanez is out of UFC 334 and nobody gave a reason. Not a replacement either.
That's the story. The fight we wanted is now a question mark.
If it ever comes back, I'm riding with Yanez. He put Garbrandt away with punches in the clinch in round 1. Diaz is 16-1-1 and chokes people, but reaching for a hold with his head exposed against those short shots is how he gets clipped.
Doubt it all you want. Yanez by TKO, round 2.

Knocked out Nilson Rojas from range in round 2. Nine finishes in ten wins. Unbeaten, and nobody has solved him yet.
Gurule, you're 1-4 in the UFC and you're walking into Madison Square Garden giving up six inches of reach to a switch stance striker. UFC 334 is eighteen days away. You have to come in behind your own jab, and every step in is a step into his counter.
Hasan by TKO, round 2. Get your money in.

Halloween is here and MMA's scariest fighters are everywhere, so let's settle it.
There are two kinds of scary in this sport. Looks scary is a body that makes a grown man rethink walking to the cage. Results scary is an aura built on years of nobody finding a way through you. Not the same thing.
Fear that lasts comes from the second kind. A physique can freeze a guy in the hallway, but an invincible record freezes him for months before the fight even starts.
Results scary wins. Not close.

Six straight wins and everybody's crowning Quillan Salkilld like he's already there.
He choked out Mateusz Gamrot in round one. Fine. Arman Tsarukyan has the same streak and the number two spot, and he just knocked Mauricio Ruffy out in round one.
Salkilld is the guy riding the buzz. Tsarukyan is the guy the division actually ducks.
Make me watch them fight. Tsarukyan by TKO, round two.

Jeff Monson is 55 and just retired for a second time, after a four round boxing loss to a 59 year old.
The man who went the distance with Tim Sylvia at UFC 65 finishes at 61-27-3. He was a grinder to the end, and that never changed.
Sholtoianu took it 40-36 and walked away too. Two old lions, one door, and a clean exit.

Islam Makhachev just pulled out of UFC 336, and his reason is that there are too many contenders.
He wants them to settle it among themselves. The champ is asking the line to sort itself out while he waits.
Prates is 24-7. Morales is 19-0. Both are ranked and both are already trading words.
Dana is not happy about the delayed return, and he's right.

Everyone wants to talk about Oliveira's submissions. Nobody talks about the final hours of the cut, when he's surrounded by his whole team, praying him down to the scale.
Ride with him on faith and you get a ranked #3 who just beat Holloway over five rounds at UFC 326.
Diego Lopes in 45 days. Oliveira by submission, round two.

UFC rankings shake-up. Petr Yan climbs to No. 3 in the men's P4P. Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev debuts at No. 12 at light heavyweight. Grant Dawson enters the lightweight top 15. Abus Magomedov moves up one spot, one step from the top 10. Kevin Holland takes the last welterweight top 15 spot without fighting. Dominik Reyes rises to No. 7 at light heavyweight, with Bogdan Guskov right behind, moved into the top 10. Azamat Murzakanov drops to No. 10.

Patricio Pitbull is 38-9, ranked 14th, and he just called out the number three guy in the division.
Good. Somebody should have to answer for it. Murphy lost his zero to Evloev in March, and now a first round KO artist wants him in Toronto.
Pitbull just put Doo Ho Choi away in round one at UFC 331. Murphy is 17-1-1 and the better shooter at 51 percent. But a first loss can linger, and a man coming off a knockout like that is a bad one to meet next.
Pitbull by TKO, round two.
