Japanese corporations do NOT play around when it comes to disclaimers.
Take the e-amusement Terms of Service, for example.
Article 10, translated into human language:
“We can shut the service down whenever we want. Your data might disappear. You agreed to this. Good luck.”
And yes, technically every user agrees to these terms. 😂
But wait, Article 13 has more:
“Also, don’t expect the service to be available 24/7. If it goes down and you lose something because of it, that’s not our problem.”
Absolutely ruthless. 💀
Then I found Article 11 also basically says:
“Look, current information technology can’t completely eliminate the risk of data leaks. You know that, right? Good. Moving on.”
Reading this in 2026 is honestly hilarious. 😂
AI is evolving at an absurd pace, cybersecurity incidents are everywhere, and meanwhile KONAMI’s lawyers are basically sitting there like:
“See? That’s why we put it in the Terms.” 😎
You have to respect the foresight.😂
*This is from the Japanese version of the Terms of Service, so the wording and nuances may differ in the international versions.
