relations, echoes, repetitions

and men with obsidian masks, eyes like pools of night

across time and space clytemnestra waited (where)

empirical time drifting east into a mexico which vanishes

mythic residue in bronze and stone

the beast turns inward

ritual devotion

that we are not in fact lost

puzzle in the dream turned

stretching from dark to light, release

decaying apartment building in a forgotten district

but the leaves are rotting

wrote her life story in pencil

a pale pink warehouse, a fountain, a hotel

achilles' blade called

destruction, broken promises, redemption

something almost inescapable about this

feel no pain i can’t

let’s blame something new
