I can confirm this change has landed on Pixel 11 Pro running the latest beta.
Pixel 11+ can be considered a world phone now (after 10 years)😅.
It seems nobody else is talking about this huuuge progress of global VoLTE support on Pixel devices starting this year's models. They have partnered with GSMA to make the global VoLTE happen starting with Pixel 11 series.

Something interesting: Google has included GSMA Profile 1-4 in the latest Canary build. Does this mean that Google is exploring more broader VoLTE support enabled by a standardized protocol? 👀
And it's funny that my carriers are classified as "Open Carriers" by Google itself, so it's clear who is preventing VoLTE from working on my Pixel.
@madebygoogle is the only company that's trying very hard to push its loyal customers away by not providing support for a basic calling feature on its lineups and blocking other ways found to make the basic calling feature happen.

We're seeing some speculation that AOSP is being discontinued. To be clear, AOSP is NOT going away. AOSP was built on the foundation of being an open platform for device implementations, SoC vendors, and instruction set architectures.
AOSP needs a reference target that is flexible, configurable, and affordable – independent of any particular hardware, including those from Google. For years, developers have been building Cuttlefish (available on GitHub as the reference device for AOSP) and GSI targets from source. We continue to make those available for testing and development purposes.
